engine stop start

Has anyone had a problem with engine stop , start. When I come to a stop the engine doesn't shut off anymore , the A light is yellow.

Has anyone had a problem with engine stop , start. When I come to a stop the engine doesn't shut off anymore , the A light is yellow.

The engine only shuts off when all the system requirements are met to do so. If the A light is yellow, looks like the system is working. At the same time, you could have a low battery or other system situation. Like, where I live, in the cold winter, the engine won't shut off until the car is well warmed up. And even then, it shuts off less often and for less long than in warm weather.

I live in florida , I can drive for a 100 miles and it still doesn't shut off

Pg 5-47 of the 2021 owners manual talks about a yellow auto stop indication. All it means is that certain conditions have not been met and the system deactivated

just had a the dealer they said the battery doesn't seam to be charging enough , they said I have to bring it back so they can have someone drive it around for awhile then check again. I told them I just took a trip and drove 200 miles and it didn't shut off , they said they have to drive it and check. Well we will see want they say when I bring it back next week

Yah, so if the battery doesn't fully charge, the system won't activate.

Easiest troubleshooting route is to charge your battery to full. Then drive it on a day that is not below freezing temps outside.
