If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hello, i made a post about this yesterday but someone deleted it and didn't let me know why.

I am trying to find out of 20" Xline wheels from a 2023 Sorento will fit my 2023 Telluride so i can use them as winter rims. They are basically brand new, less than 2000 km on them as the person had winter rims on when their Sorento was wrote off from an accident

I know they have the same bolt pattern and hub dimensions but I am not sure about 2 things..

1- is the offset similar between Sorento and Telluride rims

2 - will the TPMS sensors on the wheels work on my Telluride or would i need to buy new ones?

Any info would help.. I called the local dealer and they said they "should work" but couldn't give me a definite answer. Before i drop 900-1000 CDN on Rims/Tires i want to make sure they will fit obviously.

thanks

Hello fellow Canadian !!

They should fit. Only difference between 20" wheels from Sorento and 20" wheels from Telluride is offset (54 on Sorento vs. 49.5 on Telluride). That said, with the increased offset, the wheel will sit 5mm "inwards" unless you use a 5mm spacer.

I went through a similar dilemma last month and ended up getting 18" wheels from a Kia K5 GT for winter use (with exact same specs and offset) instead of using another Kia OEM wheel that had 55 offset. Here is how it looks.

Unfortunately I have no answer for you for TPMS. K5 OEM TPMS did not work on Telluride and the shop I got the wheels from gave me different ones that did work.

Thanks for the reply, I took a chance since I hadn't heard from anyone and the dealers said they should fit but weren't sure about tpms either.. the TPMS has the same frequency, 433 so I'm hoping they will.

Here is what they look like , I think they will look sharp. Just need to decide if I want 245-50-20 or 265-50-20 winter tires now
