• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2021 News?

I am in your same boat I think .. ordered in late february and now dealer is telling me all their orders have been cancelled for 2020s and they are starting to build 2021s now. He supposed to get back to me about ordering a 2021.. I am not going to be happy if they jack the price on the 2021 .. if so, I may think about going back to the Palisade.

The 2021 Palisade will probably have a price increase as well. You get some enhancements and new features - so the price increase shouldn't change your decision much. Unless you are able to find a 2020 Palisade on a dealer's lot that they are willing to negotiate on. for me - the push button transmission, lack of auto up/down windows for all four doors, goofy cupholders and horrible wheels on the top trim are what kept us away from the mechanically similar Palisade.

The Telluride SXP is our 1st choice.

My dealer here in the St. Louis area contacted me about a week ago, and said that my ETA is July 28. From what I'm reading in these recent posts, having an actual ETA (whether it actually happens or not) is a good thing?????
KMMG - KIA Motors Manufacturing GA has suspended production, as of this week due to shortages from suppliers.

Of course it's a good thing, you have a tentative delivery date, and your Telluride has been scheduled for production. If you don't have an ETA, you are stuck in the nether world, with no info and no way of knowing when you will get your car.

Thanks for the reassuring response. I had ordered my Telluride in early January from a different (smaller) dealer; they contacted me in March and said that the factory had canceled my order, and that I couldn't reorder until May or June. I approached a different (and much larger) dealer the first week in April, placed my order, and was told last week that I had an ETA. Guess it makes a difference whether the dealer is a large one.
Anyway, hoping that the late July ETA comes true.
Sangria/gray EX, FWD with Prestige package.

Like previously stated, you should be good, ‘should’ being the key word. Just keep in mind that this week’s KMMG shutdown will probably delay that ETA, that’s my guess anyway, we’ll see though, hopefully not! My dealer let me know this past Friday that my original ETA if 6/8 was moved to 6/26, so I’m not sure if that bump in date included the shutdown this week, as the shutdown wasn’t announced until yesterday to the public. Would be nice to think KMMG had given updated ETAs last week with this shutdown in mind already. My dealer also told me that my ETA date “shouldn’t be delayed past 6/28”, lol, we’ll see about that...

In the Kia world what does KFOS stand for? Thank you

spoke to my dealer yesterday, he claimed he is getting his last 2020s on 6/17 & 6/22 and that's it. Also said 13 of his pre-pandemic orders were canceled- mine is supposed to be in the 6/22 shipment- fingers crossed, ordered end of January

Today is June 11th. I was told by the dealer my 2020 Telluride sx ordered in Feb has morved into a 2021 model, still no delivery date.

You aren't going to have a delivery date until it has been produced and a VIN# assigned. I ordered in January and am waiting for a 2021...and not ETA or delivery date. Lots of folks on here have been waiting in line long before Feb. Get comfortable. Going to be a while.

I was supposed to pick up a 2020 in the next few weeks. Put down a deposit. They cancelled the dealer allocations. The dealer said they’re expected to be getting in the 2021’s late August/early September

I am a first time Kia buyer. I've been driving 4Runners since 2006. I had called my local dealer (Charlies Kia in Augusta, Maine) a couple of weeks ago looking to buy a 2021 Telluride SXP with tow package, Dark Moss, Dune Brown interior and Black Edition. The salesman initially wanted to sell me a 2020 but I told him that I needed a tow package with a 7 pin connector for my boat. He called me yesterday and told me that they had been allocated 4 Tellurides and that I was first on the list so I put down my deposit (refundable) even though they don't have pricing available (so the salesman said) I will update as more information becomes available.

That's great. I can't seem to get any traction with any of the NJ dealers. I have talked to or emailed at least 6 dealerships and none of them are taking orders. And no one seems to know when the 2021s will be available.

Yes, you are having the typical Telluride buying experience, and backwoodsbill is having an amazing experience and he probably doesn’t even know it! Assuming his dealer follows through of course...but he sure is off to a good start.
You might be better off ordering from one of the reputable dealers on this forum.

NJ dealers are also upcharging a ton
