• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2021 News?

Good point

Yes, you are having the typical Telluride buying experience, and backwoodsbill is having an amazing experience and he probably doesn’t even know it! Assuming his dealer follows through of course...but he sure is off to a good start.
You might be better off ordering from one of the reputable dealers on this forum.

How does buying from an out of state dealer work? Sorry, I've never bought a car out of state.
Does it cost more for shipping then? Are there any additional costs?

Yes, you have to pay for shipping, but there should be no additional costs. You pay the tax and license for YOUR state (not theirs) in the transaction.

If you want it shipped, then yes, additional cost. We drove out of state to pick ours up and drove it back, gave us plenty of time to get acquainted with the vehicle and all it's features. But yes, you do pay your states taxes and license.

no VINS generated this morning - is the plant closed by any chance?

Yeah - I noticed the same thing. Hopefully someone on here knows something.

I am in ABQ, NM and I purchased from DFW area. It is 634 miles and it cost me $650, just for reference. I am not sure the $1/mi scales to any distance, but thought I would share for reference. Have not registered it yet but will in the next few weeks and my understanding is the cost is the same.

I think they always close for a week in the summer so this being the week of the 4th I am guessing they may be closed.

Put a deposit down on an EX coming in first week of September. No clue on pricing, etc. yet

@Bk1287 are you getting one from any NJ dealer? I am still finding a dealer in NJ who can take orders for 2021 Telluride without asking premium charges. Haven't been successful to find one yet

I know two dealers that aren’t up charging in NY. Poughkeepsie and Middletown. Middletown actually isn’t too bad from jersey because it’s in Orange County. Had a 2020 lined up with them but someone beat me to it on a deposit. Both are asking msrp.

Thanks. Will check them out. You got yours from NY or nearby states?

Could someone please tell me the truth are these dealerships ordering cars and you pay a $500 deposit or is that a lie because I've talked to a few dealerships in north Texas and some say you can, some say you can not I'm speaking about the 2021Kia Telluride SX with prestige package.

My dealer accepted orders until about July and then decided no more orders.

I don’t really know much about wheels and tires, was hoping to get some help here. Does anyone know if wheel 18x9 +10mm offset, 78mm hub fit on the telluride without running into issues? The tires are 255/60/18. Thanks.

If I were you I’d check The Tire Rack. They will help you with proper fitment.
