Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... We ordered SXP/T, AWD, SWP, Dune with Deposit 02-21 and still waiting for update....Will update when get something.

Its my dealership as well. 2021s are coming in before December. I believe they meant that their specific order wouldn't be arriving til December, not 2021s in general, or possibly the black out edition which has been documented here as having end of year availability. If that makes sense. No way highest volume Telluride dealer in NC wouldn't receive deliveries from now til December.

Correct - there are some confirmed 2021's on this forum that have early July ETA's for 2021 models already in transit. Quotes for December at this point must be if you order now...which makes sense. My dealer has a long list of folks wanting an SXP - so folks getting an order in now will have the typical 4-6 month wait until theirs gets produced.
Just heard from my salesperson: “Hi so this is latest update we have on the ETA 8/16 confirmed by Kia. Hopefully we’ll get it earlier. Keep you updated”

Are you getting below MSRP?
We ordered the SX with literally everything on it. Snow White Pearl with Black Napa Leather Seats. Paying 48K for it. Don’t even know how much the 2021 MSRP is because he’s giving us the 2021 at that price for the long wait and delays. We ordered ours from a dealership in southern Indiana.

I feel like communication with Kia of Cary can be better. I inquired last week Friday, and sales guy snapped back - your truck is ordered and will be here shortly, what else do you want... I just asked if possible to see samples of Wolf Grey. Telluride hype brings up the worst features of dealers, all the arrogance, but if you want Telluride all dealers in NC are like that I talked to 5 so far.

My dealer in NC was relatively nice... but he spouted a ton of nonsense about why my ETA kept getting delayed after the third time. Kept telling me the factory was shut down even when we knew it was open from posts on this site, that the entire line at the factory caught COVID, etc. When I finally purchased my Telly, I tried telling him about this site and how a few dealers have had GREAT success on here and have been pillars of this community, and he could not have cared less and actually seemed kind of offended.
That sucks. Maybe you caught him on a bad day? I purchased from Kia of Cary and I had a different experience with my sales guy. I ran into him on a oil change visit and he asked how I liked the Telluride and we chatted for a while about the value and success. He called me a year after sale and wanted to make sure everything was still okay. Being part of the Hendrick group they have volume on their side for sure but there are a handful of other dealers within a 30 min that I’m sure would be happy to take your order with a smile.

We are all humans, I agree, possibly a bad day. Like I said, I just wish nobody would snap back when I am trying to purchase from them. I still do not think my question about seeing Wolf Gray is unreasonable. I ordered white SX-P but thought if order was not placed what would it take to switch to Wolf Gray.

Seems reasonable to ask. If you're order hasn't been entered into KFOS yet im sure it can be done, you just may not have any pictures of the new colors before then. Once KIA makes them available the reliable dealers here will post it for you. Id imagine it'd be real soon. You have a couple weeks til ordering happens so try again. GL

At this point he said, order was placed but he does not know when the car would be here. I am OK with white, in NC this is a good color to have. Looks like 2021 are shipping now.

Maybe go above the salesperson for answers. If the order was accepted in KFOS they assign it a tentative eta, period. So something is a miss here.
