2022 Ordering

On Oct 13 2021 I placed and order for a 2022 Kia Telluride SX Prestige Package. My dealership in NC said it would probably be 2-3 months from when I placed the order. Here it is going on almost 4 months and apparently Kia hasn’t even accepted my order yet. I can’t get any updates from the dealership about anything. All I get when I ask for an update is “nothing yet, I will let you know when I find out something”

Has anybody else had this problem?

Kia cut back production to an extreme amount. Just be patient, sometimes dealers get a bonus allocation and your order might convert faster than you think

I ordered almost the exact same time! My ETA is 2/6! My original time frame was 8-12 weeks, but looks like around 4 months total! VIN popped on failcat on 1/21. Patience will go along way!

It really depends a lot on dealer allocations I believe, I ordered back in Sept 16th last year, I was initially told 10-12 weeks. However no update until now my order is not even picked up in KFOS yet. So the painfully slow waiting continues for me too..! Hope you get yours soon!

I suggest reaching out to Hallmark KIA in MS. Due to new ownership they have quite a bit of EX/SX coming in between early February-March. They are selling at MSRP+$475 dealer fee. No other BS charges aside from Taxes/Tags/Title. I was recently secured one with a 2/3 ETA

They ship to anywhere I believe, as long as you’re will to cover the cost or arrange your own shipping. I am having mine shipped to VA. Text/Call Joseph(salesman) (601-543-8820). $1K non-refundable deposit, it goes towards to cost of the car.

Thank you for the info, I will get in touch with him. I also need to check about the 2k deposit I made for the previous order (I was told it was non refundable) but its been like 4 months now and no update on the order status. So hoping that they are considerate enough to refund me back.

You will get that deposit back, the car haven’t been accept but KIA. If they give you a hard time contact your credit card company to dispute it.

I was like that for a while! I would call, no update, call again and no update! Then out of the blue KFOS accepted and VIN five days later! Good luck!

Idk where in NY you are but I believe destination kia has the car you’re looking for. But you have to go in to get it. I’m looking for a similar car to you but in everlasting silver (if you happen to find one please let me know) I ordered from a dealer in PA in august and am in the same boat as you. I also ordered from i25 but they’re delayed as well

I had the same issue here in Texas. Mine took 6 months and I didn’t even get the one I had ordered got lucky and got one someone had ordered but they didn’t want it anymore. The only thing that sucked was didn’t get some features I had ordered on mine.

Oh wow, any reason as to why? I guess I need to check in with my dealership to see how this has impacted them and possible my order.

Guys, I ordered mine on Aug 10 and still waiting. My dealer doesn’t pick my phone because Kia has not picked my order until my last call. No idea how much more should I wait. I ordered SX prestige pack nightfall edition with rear entertainment system.

Sounds a lot like my situation accept I just get an answer of no new updates and “sorry we don’t have that information”. My suggestion would be to place an order with a high volume dealer and see if it gets picked up earlier. Or if you have time, call around to see if anyone has incoming that aren’t allocated already

Heard from my local dealer today (low-volume)--ordered on 8/31 and ETA is 3/21.
