  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I know that nothing has been released, so it's all a guessing game right now, but I'm getting nervous about the potential price bump of the 2022s. I placed my order, and was told 3-5 months for delivery, and that it would be a 2022 because their waiting list has enough people to take all of their allocations for 2021. My sales person said he anticipated a $200-500 price jump for the next model year, similar to last year. I am reading other dealers are telling people $1500, all the way up to $5000 for a SX!! I was actually happy about the 3-5 month delay in ordering because I have other things I want to pay off before adding an unanticipated car payment (got rear ended, totalled car in Feb). But now I'm worried that the benefit of waiting (to pay off bills) will be negated by the price jump of the next year vehicle. Anyone have any thoughts to add? Should I rush and see if I can get a 21 somewhere else? ugh, the stress!!!

Just wait for the 2022

If I was KIA, I would raise the price by 1-2,000 to recapture some of the lost revenue that is going to dealer markup today. They recently increased the price of the Stinger, albeit for different reasons, so it’s not unprecedented.

Dealers said the same thing last year. Most don't know anything and will say anything to get people to buy today - and any incoming unsold units they have. Get what you want - any price increase will be minimal. So far, Kia has been doing about 2 price increases per year - in January and then on the model year change.
