Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Mmm maybe have to disable the rear sensor? That’s what’s keeping it from opening. Like a safety feature. 
I know there is a button on the left next to the steering wheel. Try pushing that button and see if it opens. Also if you don’t mind sharing a picture of where it’s stuck.

There’s a slot on the lower part of the liftgate that you can insert a key or flat screwdriver to manually unlock the liftgate from the inside.
