I disagree in part. It is a perfectly legitimate consumer expectation -- not rumor mongering or wild speculation -- that an automobile model year will last about one year. Once that period is exceeded considerably, it's natural for people to become impatient and annoyed at any lack of hard, reliable information from the manufacturer. This is not needless "negativity." It's appropriate consumer behavior. A smart company is a responsive company.I love the enthusiasm for Tellys of this site, but there is also a ton of negativity towards Kia over our expectations. Kia has done nothing wrong with their MY changeover in my opinion, but it's frustrating not having info, wanting to buy it as a fanatical buyer like myself.
I'm not sure when the very first 2022 MY Tellurides were built (I started a thread on this topic, but no one responded), but my guess is that it was around June of 2021. So we're now dealing with a "model year" of 15-16 months? More? This is made worse by the fact that a mid-cycle refresh normally tends to end the previous model year a little early, not way late.
