• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

who told you the bumper would need to be modified?

My dealer said all the bumpers he's seen still have the cut out for the hitch but none have been installed from the factory yet. I can't imagine there's a way to "modify" the bumper. The way the factory hitch is installed it shouldn't really have any effect on most of the bumper🤷‍♂️

I was just looking at the underside of our 2021 SXP to take the hitch off to put on our 2023 and I can't see where/how they would modify a bumper
Have you been able to confirm the 2023 can use the same hitch / harness from previous years?

If so, anyone have recommendations where to get a full kit including the bumper cover for the hitch cutout?

I have not, but trying to figure that out. Without having them side by side to compare it's a little hard.

I'm trying to trace the wiring harness back to it's connection point from the hitch to see if it can be removed easily. Taking the hitch off is pretty straight forward, looks like just 8-10 bolts and may have to drop a few things out of the way but nothing crazy complicated.

Maybe they had to make a slight modification to design of the hitch though and they're not available yet because of new tooling?? 🤷‍♂️
Dealer or service rep may know about the bumper cutout

Does anyone know the official part number for the 2023 kia telluride crossbars for xline and XPRO? Can’t find a confirmed part number anywhere and it’s driving me nuts.

Looks like the X-Line/X-Pro part is R5F21 AU100.

The regular ones are S9F21 AC001.

Here’s them on Kia Stuff. The X ones don’t show available yet from them.

Here’s someone on Reddit with theirs. Something tells me you’ve already seen this. I’ve also seen other people with X trims reporting theirs are Yakima brand as well.

Thanks! Yeah that part number when I search it shows an aluminum crossbar which looks like it’s for the Sorento or seltos. A dealer says he has the part available so I may go check it out tomorrow. But I feel like this part number is incorrect.

Can anyone with an X-Pro speak to the ride quality/noise on road with AT tires compared to other trim/yr. Assuming you have driven or owned a previous model (or even if you haven't)

His videos are the best! Always thorough and great info

Get Thule, Yakima or some other aftermarket brand. Much better than the OEM units
I don’t like the look of them haha. The slight curve of the KIA bars, being all blacked out, and not going over the edges are what I like. Aftermarket ones always stand out instantly as being aftermarket.

Drove 3 hours from Idaho home after getting it then a few hours yesterday as well. Sounds as quiet as my 2021 SX. One review actually did a decibel test and it was identical to previous years road noise. It’s actually pretty amazing. They either improved the cabins soundproofing further or picked tires that just work really well for road noise.

I watched one Youtube review yesterday of the X-Pro, and they said that the tires on the X-Pro are about as minimal "all terrain" as you can get, so the road noise was not bad.

How are the new headlights compared to your 2021 SX?

And RE: crossbars, I’m hoping to try and get some low profile ones since the raised roof rails on the X-versions should allow for almost totally horizontal mounted crossbars.

I’ve loved the headlights on the XPRO so far! Great coverage and no one has flashed me thinking my brights were on (got this all the time in the 21). Let me know what you find for the crossbars.

I think that was the guys at the Car Confections YouTube channel that measured interior noise levels and said was same as previous.

Hi! Just picked up the ‘23 Xline here in Toronto. The front grill is darker than I expected and I’m pleased with how it looks!

Nice!

First Canadian owner I've seen. How many months were you waiting for?

Thanks!

Pretty long wait! I ordered the ‘22 Nightsky in Nov 2021. Original delivery date was June 2022, but that got delayed.

Got same phenomenon with the headlights of my 21 SX-L Nightsky! Just saw today a 2023 SX X-line Gravity Gray at the dealership and the bottom gray "lip" is less ugly than in pictures but I do feel that some front end aggressiveness has been lost...

I just went to a dealership and looked at the 2023 SX X-Line in Glacial White Pearl. Pictures I've seen made the bottom gray bumper look hideous and even clashing. Have to say in person looked pretty awesome. Not sure why pictures don't provide an accurate representation. I was in the camp of planning to wrap the bumper in black but after seeing it in person, I think I'm good as is!

Just picked up our 2023 SXP X-Pro Midnight Lake Blue/Black Interior.

Order Date: 9/30/22
Build Date (per VIN Plate): 10/3/22
On train: 10/15/22
Arrived at dealer: 10/29/22
Took Possession: 10/31/22

From everything I can tell, it was a part of the first shipment of 23's, and is the first and only Midnight Lake to arrive in AZ to date.
