Question - When a VIN/vehicle show up on Failcat, should the dealer be able to look up/see that VIN/vehicle is destined for their dealership?

I had a VIN that matched my configuration show up this morning on Failcat that was headed to my dealer. I sent it to my salesman and asked if it was mine. He told me it wasn't and that there wasn't yet an ETA for mine. With that in mind, I would say yes the dealer would know. Also, clicking on the VIN will bring up the sticker which will have the destination listed.

Thanks, I assumed they would know what's destined for their dealership by the time it shows up in Failcat... just wasn't sure.

Has anyone picked up their new 23 telluride and can figure out the door locks. I can't seem to figure out how to run the sensor to open the door with key or phone in pocket. Gonna drive me nuts.

On the SX and up, when you have your fob on you, you touch the inside of the handle (like you’re going to pull it open) to unlock. Then you touch the indentation on the outside of the handle (where the button used to be) to lock it.

If you’re using your phone with digital key 2, you have to touch the phone’s NFC transponder area to the middle part of the door handle.

Yes they can. However, will the salesman you're working with or their sales manager know how to look up the info, that's a different story -- but yes the dealer can see that info (if they know where to look)

Just got a S trim in white with black interior at MSRP yesterday!

Getting the front windows tinted to match the back next week and possibly having the satin chrome wrapped.

We are not used to this much technology in a vehicle. Any advice on settings?

The key fob is massive and the physical key is not integrated into it! That’s my only complaint thus far.

I spent the first afternoon with the new ride going through every setting option to try to figure out which setting I want. It took a while to figure out all the settings and we had a 21 Telly.

Side note I made an appointment for next week for window tinting, i am trying to decide if i want to stay within laws or the next step darker, in VA it is 50% for front windows, I leaning towards a little darker but not as dark as back windows so it isn't too obvious.

I did consider wrapping the lower bumper but after a week of having the X-pro i am good with how it is, while it would look cool with more blacked out. I don't mind it as much as I first did.

I wish Kia/Hyundai put walk-away auto lock feature on all their doors. The technology already exists (e.g. Honda has this for years now on their mainstream cars) , the Telluride has the auto close function for the tailgate, so this is the next logical iteration. I had it in a recent 2021 Buick Enclave rental it was blissful.

Just picked up our 2023 SXP X-Pro Midnight Lake Blue/Black Interior.

Order Date: 9/30/22
Build Date (per VIN Plate): 10/3/22
On train: 10/15/22
Arrived at dealer: 10/29/22
Took Possession: 10/31/22

From everything I can tell, it was a part of the first shipment of 23's, and is the first and only Midnight Lake to arrive in AZ to date.

Does the Midnight Lake Blue look like you expected? Is it a flat color like the Wolf grey, or is it dark blue? I've seen only a few pictures since the '23s have shipped, and I still can't tell if the MLB is flat/non-metallic or not.

MLB is defiantly not a metal flake paint. It is not flat like a flat black or military camouflage flat. Its a simple, solid gloss or semi-gloss finish of a typical auto paint. Trying to describe the blue color is not so easy. It is a blue/grey and depending on the lighting, in bright sunshine the blue is brighter. In shade, the grey is more prominent. Over all, the blue is the prominent color. As seen in this picture, the brighter blue predominates on the hood and in spots above the front wheel. The darker blue predominates between the grills on the front. Even this does not encompass the full range of color shift in different lighting. Obviously the paint is all one color but the tone/hue shifts with the lighting. I can not say how your computer/tablet/phone will translate this image but in general the overall colors show what MLB looks like.

I have an SX-P on order with a tow package...it was converted from MY22 to MY23. I originally placed my order on 2/5. I don't see anything with a tow package in failcat yet. Does someone know if they are doing something like the X-Line and X-Line Pro where they are installing part of the tow package, but with no hitch or lighting? Or is my order just sitting and the tow package is preventing it from getting it picked up? If so, can i change my order to drop the tow package? Just looking for the best way to move forward. I can live without the tow package if it can be dropped from my order.

Though hitch and harness show up as an option/accessory on the builder website (US $575), they don't have them currently available. I guess you could add it to your order and wait for it with chances of car arriving sooner than hitch and harness.

I have a similar issue ... have an SXPrestige X-Pro on the way with Tow Package (tow mode and the self-leveling rear suspension) but in order to get it shipped I had to agree to receiving it without the "hitch and harness".

Can I buy I 3rd party hitch and harness if I needed to tow something light??
or more urgently will the Hitch receiver be installed all correct (just missing the actual Ball portion of the hitch) so that I could plug into the receiver a Hitch Mount Cargo Carrier Basket ?

Any help would be appreciated.

I ordered mid-October and was just notified Kia picked up my order for mid-/late-December ETA. This is great news for us! Does that mean we picked up someone else's canceled order? Or not a lot of people were ordering S's? Or Kia ramped up production that much?

Nice! That is a quick turnaround. I think it could be a little bit of everything. Could imagine that there are not many S's compared to the other trims. And yes, Kia is supposed to increase production by 20%.

Where did folks hear about the increase in production? I read for heard that a few times in various places. Was looking for a source though to confirm. Just curious. Hoping it's all going to happen.
