In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Telluride Trailer Hitch Receiver availability

Karen, the "Expert Reply" you posted is not totally correct. There are multiple hitches available for the 2023 Telluride. Any hitch that fits the 2022 Telluride should bolt up to the 2023 Telluride. I have Kia's trailer hitch on my 2023 4WD (post 176 pg 9). I included my Kia sales receipt below. What is not available direct from Kia yet is the wiring harness and rear facia panel that goes around Kia's trailer hitch. Nor are the wiring harness and rear facia panel available for the eTrailer hitch mentioned in your post which does bolt up and fit the 2023 Telluride and prior years. The rear facia panel also has to be trimmed to fit but is not as difficult to do because the eTrailer hitch does not have an integrated wiring harness holder like the Kia's does. The new wiring harness is becoming available but, has others have posted, is only from Hyundia in Canada at the moment. The likely reason it isn't available from Kia yet is because worldwide, more Palisade have been sold that need the wiring harness than Tellurides. Note, the Telluride does outsell the Palisade only in the US. The wiring harness should be available in the near future from Kia and will not require splicing into the vehicle's wiring harness. There is the option remove the rear facia panel and leave it off while waiting for Kia to release a production replacement for the production trailer hitch. Does this answer your question?

Yes! Thank you so much! I cannot install it myself so I will need to wait until the entire hitch and harness is available so I can get someone to install it.

Karen, are you planning on towing a trailer or primarily a bike rack or luggage carrier? If the latter, then they do not have to be done concurrently.

I will be towing a pop up camper.

Previously I read that in order to back up a Telluride with a trailer attached, you first had to first manually disable the safety feature that detects objects behind the car and prevents the car from backing up. Does anyone know if this is still a problem with the 2024s and the new wiring harness that is supposed to be coming out in the US?

I never had to do that with my ‘21. Only had to turn off the parking sensors

Good question, dk. This was a PIA when having a luggage carrier on my 2023. I preferred to go thru the menu and disable the auto braking instead of enduring the jarring brakes and warnings. The towing mode had no effect on the auto braking in the 2023.

I bought a 2023 Telluride SX X-line last week that came with the Tow option. However, it had no hitch receiver installed. The dealer assured me they would get the parts and install the tow package this week. They called today to tell me Kia has not released the parts for the hitch receiver yet and Kia has no forecast date of availability for the kit.

Do any of you have better availability information than my dealer is providing?
I received mine in late December and still have not been able to get the harness installed. They tried to install the one for 2022 and it didn't work. This is July and all I'm getting is that it is someone else's fault. No date for resolution

Came across this today from an internal group. Hopefully good news for some of you here.
I have no idea how firm ETA is FALL 2023. Also do not know if this will be for only 2023 models or both 2023 and 2024 models.

A light at the end of a very long, dark tunnel for some people. It's about time! For those of us who prefer an OEM hitch and need the 7 pin harness. . . thank you thank you for this information.

Shouldn’t these parts also fit the 2024 model?

Can't see the difference unless bumper paint color is a factor.

Isn’t this part S9F67AC500 the 7-pin that went with the 2021-2022 Telluride? I thought there was evidence on this forum that this part would not work on a 2023-2024.

It states all these parts are for 2020-2022.

Also indicates the 2023 Telluride Tow Hitch ETA is going to be available fall 2023. I’m sure they will have different part numbers for 2023

Makes sense. I just took a double take because that part will not go on a 2020.

Where is the hitch for the 2023 Telluride? I'm upset! I feel dealerships have been lying about this...

I put in a complaint with Kia a few months ago and finally got a call back. They apologized for the delayed availability and said the hitch would be available in small numbers starting August 1st with production qtys increasing throughout the month. I asked if the wiring harness would be available also and he said it's going to be a whole package with the hitch and wiring harness. I didn't think to ask about the bumper cover.

So hopefully this means there really is a solution right around the corner.

Not lying - they simply are not in the know. It is KIA's fault, not the dealers.

Decided not to wait and went with the curt 13420. Looks almost oem but hangs about 3/4" lower.
