In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Telluride Trailer Hitch Receiver availability

Can't imagine a hitch would invalidate your warranty. The wiring could be a problem, but not the hitch.

boogiemon, the hitch for the 2023's is here. See invoice below for the Kia hitch my dealer sold me and I installed on my 2023 X-Pro. What is not here that would make a complete hitch package is the bumper cover that conforms to the hitch. You will have to trim the one you have or wait for the factory one to come out. You will likely have to trim the bumper cover for a 3rd party hitch, also. It is not hard to do and if you look earlier in this thread there is a pattern you can use to make the cuts.

Slim, that part number states it’s for a 2020-2022 Telly, NOT for 2023-2024. My dealer won’t order or install it for my 2023 Telly X-Pro.

Tolipnug: Thanks. However, I'd like to have the dealer install it, and they won't until an officially listed part for the 2023-2024 units are available.

My dealer called last week and said there is a kit available for 2023-2024 and asked if we still wanted one. I told him we already have the hitch on our 2023 S and just need the wire harness and bumper cover. He wasn't aware of an a-la-carte option yet but I'm going to check with the parts department myself. Only point being, parts are becoming available, maybe your dealer just hasn't been notified yet.

cdyer2336: Any chance that you could come up with the part number for either the hitch itself or the full kit? I would greatly appreciate it. My dealer seems incapable of doing anything without it... and seems to need (want?) me to come up with the correct number. Kia mother ship has been pretty useless on this front.

boogiemon, multiple forum members have used this part number on their 2023's as did I. You will also see I bought it from my dealer who confirmed it would fit a 2023 which it did. I also had my son's 2022 to compare with and saw no mounting differences. It was an easy install as hitches go.

It appears there is as much confusion on the dealer side as with us consumers.

Slim, thanks. I'll press the issue once again with my dealer based on what you and other forum members have said. If the 3rd party hitch receivers fit 2020-2024's it would seem the official Kia hitch receiver should also. However, I don't like the idea of trimming the bumper... maybe that's what the 2023-onward will avoid once it is announced?

you are not trimming the bumper, just the small plastic center piece that allows the hitch to be installed. You cannot trim it if you want and just leave it off. Like I mentioned before, you will still have to trim this same plastic piece if you install the better 3rd party hitches ... and they will never have a custom piece like Kia will eventually provide. The one thing that I could see happening if a unique part no. comes out for the 23/24 is the wiring harness connection plate would be different. It doesn't matter to me because my wife who pays attention to details like this has already decided my trim job looks factory.

Thanks, slim. Do you think the third party hitches are better than Kia’s own? If so, which vendor’s?

Sure, I'll see what I can get from them. They're closed until Monday at this point but I can tell you I bought and installed the same hitch part number slim mentioned on my 2023 and everything fit perfectly. I DID cut the factory bumper cover as shown on page 9 of this thread and looks good enough until the factory one becomes available.

I did see that the 3rd party hitches are less expensive but when my dealer offered the part for below MSRP and without shipping costs, I looked no further at the 3rd party hitches. I would not get a 3rd party hitch that was completely below the bumper, e.g., no trimming required.

GL. The hitches for the Tellurides have ALWAYS been the same up through 2024. Just have your dealer get you the one for 2022 or Google the part number and buy it online. It's the plastic trim part that everyone is still waiting upon. Also, 3rd party hitches ride lower than the OEM. Just fyi. Sounds like you are dealing with some low intelligent people over there. Sorry.

Can anyone confirm the difference in S9F61AU002 and S9F61AU000? They are both fit for the 2020-2022 Kia Telluride. I am told the difference is in the 2"rubber receiver cover with one having a Kia logo and one being blank. There is a 70 dollar price difference and I have seen both part numbers mounted in this forum. I cant tell the difference. I also received my factory wiring harness yesterday to be installed when I sort out this hitch thing. I do think the factory hitch is better because of its height, appearance, and the fact that a factory cover will one day fit it.

I am doubting you are going to get clarification on your question - so let me offer my thoughts. One thing we know for sure, both part numbers were for hitches on the Telluride. They have not changed the underneath of the car since its inception in 2020. You didn't say, but I am guessing that the cheaper part number (AU000) is the one with the blank rubber cover. I am also guessing this is the part number that they have discontinued, and the fact that your dealer has one just means he has one left in inventory. Buy it and if you really want the KIA badge on the cover, buy that cover separately for probably about $5 bucks.

I agree. I am about the 70 bucks, I am not sure which cover says what, nor do I care, I already have an assortment of receiver covers. Thanks!

Anyone ever use a Palisade hitch here? They seem to be of different construction.
I am probably jumping in where I don't belong but ....... from what I have read, I don't think anyone has used a Palisade hitch. I know there are plenty who have used the Palisade wiring harness, but not the hitch. Now watch someone come on and prove me wrong - heh
