2024 KIA Telluride SX Prestige--Touch Door handles and Digital Key Card Stopped Working...again.
After purchasing this vehicle new, we had a substantial problem before our first oil change was due. The car has touch door handles to lock and unlock the vehicle. It also has a plastic digital key card that came with the auto and locks, unlocks, and allows you to start the auto.
These features worked fine initially but after a couple of months and, before the first oil change was due, these features completely stopped working. The touch door handles (both sides) stopped locking or unlocking the auto and the digital key no longer works to unlock or lock the auto or allow the auto to start without the key fob.
Both key fobs work fine. The rear hatch works fine including the automatic feature when the auto is locked, and the key fob is close to the rear hatch. Interestingly, if the auto is locked and the mirrors are closed to the auto and you approach the auto with the key fob, the mirrors recognize the key fob and open. But the door is still locked and will not open by the touch door handles on either side.
To make matters worse, I took it 3 times to the dealer and they did not know how to fix it. After keeping it 6 or 7 weeks and working with KIA Tech they got it working again.
Unfortunately, a couple of months later neither the touch door handles or the digital key care work at all.
Any ideas for a fix?
