Posting here to see if any other 2024 Telluride or EV6 owner has experienced this.
My husband and I noticed one afternoon that a spontaneous hairline crack appeared right in the center of the large display cluster. There are no spiderwebs; it is a straight up and down crack. As we feared, the dealer is saying it's physical damage and should be an insurance claim. The insurance company is saying it's a manufacturing warranty issue- as there is no indication of physical damage. They suspect it's weather changes or a stress fracture from the way the glass is attached to the unit.
It's ~$7K to replace the cluster. 15% of the car's value! Which is insane. The screens are new to the 2024 Telluride models, so fear we are experiencing what may turn into a more common/well known issue but just hasn't yet. I think the screen was first in the EV6.
Anyone else experience or heard of this with their Telluride or anyone's EV6?
