If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I wasn't too optimistic on wait time, but I placed an order on 3/29/2022, and found what looked to be my VIN on failcat this morning. Just confirmed with dealer, with arrival scheduled to be June 16... about 2 1/2 months total!

I didn't know if my order would be fast or delayed due to what seems to be a more rare combo: everlasting silver, prestige, nightfall, dune brown interior. I guess it was faster!

I used Preston Kia in Burton (OH), and was willing to go the $2k over MSRP as being the less evil of most other dealers, and not wanting to travel too far (I have family in that area, so it's a trip I'd make anyway--I live in NC). Ohio caps the "doc fees" to $250, whereas in my city, they are charging around $700 (and local Kia dealer is $10k over sticker). I still pay NC sales tax which is 4% less than in OH.

All around a decent scenario. No complaints about Preston, straight forward, easy to deal with. No specific person since they all rotate and support customers, so I've worked with about 3-4 different people.

Given the current market place, gas prices, economy, etc., I was questioning my decision to take on a car payment, not so much anymore now that I have this news... :)

Congratulations, that is great news on order-to-turnaround time for you! I ordered from a Virginia dealer (VA057) right after the monthly (April) close of KFOS (4/24/22) and have yet to hear anything about my order being picked up from KMMG. Twice daily checks of Failcat are like a wish list at this point. I'm glad I am not dependent upon a new car arrival because this type of car shopping is depressing. When you get in your Telly, take a victory lap for me!

I am in same boat as you. I ordered back in March at Central Kia in Plano, TX and was quoted 8-12 weeks for my EX glacial white nightfall with black interior and I got the call today that it was on track to arrive in mid June!
