AC part

Hello! We love our Telluride. Our 2022 Kia Telluride had a rock hit the condenser and some hoses while on vacation, and took the AC out. Dealer service dept. said the part does not exist yet. Anyone else with this issue? Not sure when the part will be available. Serious auto part shortage right now. Hot here in Texas too!

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us. Wow, you have no AC in Texas until the part is available? That's crazy. Yeah, this parts shortage is terrible... In any event, congratulations on your Telluride. What did it replace for you?

The Telluride replaced a land rover. The part is in apparently not in supply or very difficulty to come by. I don't know how they will acquire one or how long it could be. Months? No end in sight. The car is at the service department and we can't drive it as it could damage the car.

I would think you could take it to a radiator repair shop and they could fix the issue. I doubt Kia would fix this under warranty and it might be too expensive to fix through an auto insurance claim.

Same thing happened to mine insurance is covering it but had to use collision coverage not my mechanical break down part
