If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... It depends, but I would say around 20 miles or less. It can have more, it can have less. Mine had 22, but other posts have seen fewer. But, if it's much higher then it's been used for test drives or a demo. They put some miles on each vehicle at the factory for testing purposes.

Bought a Toyota Camry, had 12 miles on it. A Nissan Murano had 11. ;) But I don't think they are test driven like kia does on the tellurides.

Mine arrived at dealership with 10

I’d expect less than 20.

I had 13 which I think covered factory and dealer inspection drives. My sales rep gave me confidence that my vehicle wouldn’t be used for other customers.

That looks like one of the lowest. I’d be really happy if I get mine with 10 miles on it.
This is only my second new car, first one had 12 miles.

Normally I am a used guy.

Mine had 5 on it, but I watched it come off the truck.

Mine had 10 and I added 3 miles during my test drive at pick up.

I think it had 7 miles or so on it.

Mine had 3 on it and I watched it get unloaded from the truck. I thinking around 20 is good.

If a new vehicle is on the lot and not sold (deposit on it) they let people test drive them so some miles are acceptable.

My Stinger had 27 miles from test drives (I put on 15 of those during a test drive).

This would not fly with me. I don’t need some chump flooring my new car on the test drive.

What makes you think they did not do that during the factory testing...

They probably did, but I’m OK with that.

Likely done on rollers, not on asphalt.

Bigger point is it is my car to break in under my rules, not something a dealer should be letting other people use and put miles on haphazardly.

I am very picky on my break in procedure - whether it is necessary or not. If I pony up the time and money to get a factory order, I don’t think a dealer should rob me of my preferred break in process by letting others drive the vehicle.

I agree you paid for it, you should set the rules for it. The only way to ensure that is buy it (deposit) before it arrives at the dealership, or find one on the lot that has not been test driven. The dealership will not let a car that is sold go out on a test drive (at least the dealers I have been to). It would be a real shit show if they let one out that was sold and it got in a crash.....

Great point on the accident!

Mine had 130 miles when I purchased. It was an early build. I assume most miles came from the drive course at the plant since I bought the same day it arrived on the lot March ‘19.
