If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi everyone, first post here...tried searching on these topics and found others with similar questions, but no great/detail solutions yet. Has anyone added seat heaters or power lumbar support to an LX model? I've got a '22 LX AWD that's finally scheduled to come off the truck this Monday (ordered early August). In speaking with my salesman today, found out that while my build sheet DOES list power seats and power lumbar, it's not included on LX models. I'd always planned on adding the seat heaters aftermarket, but the lack of power lumbar is a bit of a disappointment/dealbreaker for my wife. Short of these two things, all other features on the S and up just weren't important to us...so now looking at adding my own.

Looks like good options exist for both lumbar and heaters; just curious if anyone's actually done this themselves yet. My main question is where the best place to tap into power will be on the LX, especially as I'm looking to do this without voiding any electrical warranties. The dealer says they can contract with a reputable local shop to do the seat heaters for $379/seat....but I can do lumbar AND heat for $100 less if I do it myself.

I'm confident in my ability to do this without damaging the vehicle (experience in auto wiring/interior installation, including seat removal) but if anyone else has any tips to save me time...please fire away!

Was considering the Rostra kits for both, as they seem readily available and get good reviews everywhere I've looked:

heater:

Howdy sir. Sorry you didn't get any responses on here.

I'm looking to do the same. Did you end up doing this yourself? I'm pretty adventurous for this kind of thing, and the wiring should be the easy part (for me, based on my know-how), but I'm more nervous about removing the (original) seat covers to get the heater pads underneath.
