Based on this, not much difference between 275 and 295 so it should work 🤞. And i know 275/45/20 works based on several folks here on this forum......

It hasn't yet. The wheels have only been on about a week. Those pics are at full lock and we rarely cut it that sharp. Normal driving hasn't been an issue. I would imagine that if you were turning real sharp and hit a bump that it will rub a little.

Update... It does rub when in reverse and cutting the wheel sharp. I noticed it yesterday when backing out of a parking spot. That's the only time I've noticed it.

Crap. This was the same size wheel & tire combo I was looking at doing.

It's such a slight rub, I don't expect it to cause issues. I only heard it because the tires were wet and made a squeaking noise on the fender liner. Others don't have issues with this tire size because all tires are not the same diameter... Even in the same size. My Kumos are 60k mile tires and are a little taller than others in the same size. My wheel installer told me that and I confirmed it on tire rack. You could always go with 265/35R22 if you are worried about it. The look of the 22s is worth it IMO.

Was just thinking of maybe going 265/35 but like you u want the 60k mile tires . Worth it long term.

After looking at what must have been 150+ wheels, I decided on Drag DR-77's in a 20x9 with +40 offset riding on the stock 245/50/20's for now. The 9" wide wheels change the stance quite a bit. And the Gravity Gray color is much more interesting in person than it is in the pics. Did you have to run a spacer or anything with your 20x9 et40? I know a lot of people run 20x9 et35, but I havent seen many with the higher offset. Just making sure there is no inner clearance issues. Also, when I go to their site and select a 20x9 5x114.3 I only see an option for et30 or et38?

+40 shouldn't need spacers, OEM offset is +49.

If you want to go +30 it will fit, you'll have "poke" if that's your style. +38 is safe, that should sit slightly inside the fender.

Isn't the OEM wheel a 20x7.5? If that's true and my math is right a 20x9 et40 would be ~ 10mm further inward than a 20x7.5 et49. Offsets are based on wheel centerline. So, offsets on wider wheels aren't comparable to stock. Also, I believe higher offset pushes the wheel further inward. Maybe I just misunderstand all this offset stuff, lol. Bottom line, just be sure you double check fitment with your wheel supplier before you order. Audio City was awesome with my order. They spent a good bit of time explaining all this to me. Hopefully I'm regurgitating correcting. 😬

P.S. ET35 on a 9 inch wheel is perfecto!

Yes, the high offset will sit inward more from the fender. Lower the offset more get closer to the fender going outward.

I have 18x8 +35 on mine and it's sitting perfectly.

Ok. Im a tire newbie as well. Only ever really bought performance tires before. I like the look of the 20" NF rims but really want a beefier/more rugged looking tire. What options would I have for wider and beefier tread without getting new wheels/rims?
