I wondering if they are delaying it to allow for the introduction of the new Optima/K5? It was rumored to be announced at the New York Auto Show which has now been delayed. KIA also has a new Sedona and refreshed Cadenza in the wings in addition to the already announced all new Sorento. Any idea of when they will show up in KFOS for ordering? Lots of new product coming from KIA over the next few months...and three of those coming out of the West Point Georgia plant.

Going to be an exciting year for KIA. A good year to be a KIA dealer/Salesman.

I would imagine it is delayed this month due to the shutdown.

With the other products I’m sure there is a time table but personally haven’t asked or inquired.

To give them the benefit of the doubt - these are strange times combined with a vehicle that has demand of nearly double what they expected.

But it's not just that...things like the mystery skid plate that has always been an option to be ordered is still a mystery to people. Nobody has ever seen one or knows how to get them. Plus Kia has had to have known for months what changes are planned for the 2021 model. Not bashing, but it's definitely something they should be trying to improve. You should also be able to track your build as it moves through the factory, in my experience this has been common in the industry.

it’s a terrible year to be a car salesman. They are shut down. In many areas all sales are halted. That’s a lot of lost revenants commissions.

That’s a question for an employee who works at the factory. I’m sure they have “x” amount of parts left for the 2020’s which is why they still producing. Then it may infact need to change over additional equipment down the road for the 2021..

My understanding was that they closed early and were just going to go into retooling Kia will re-close Georgia assembly plant March 30
But the local Fox News station suggests they will halt the previously planned retooling - so it's possible they will finish up their 2020 orders. Kia to temporarily close Georgia plant because of coronavirus

My dealer was amazed that no one has backed out of buying their Tellurides. I just got my Telly last week - I am not sure if that was lucky, or if a further wait would have allowed me to choose a 2021.

People that have their finances in order and have been on the waiting list for months are more likely to follow through with their order. Now - if this thing drags out for two or three more months before they turn the economy back on - might be a different story. But the waiting for a car - should give most folks time to get their financials in order and increase the size of their down payment.

Patience, I don't know what # I am, I ordered from Muncie in early February. It'll be worth it.
