It's been quite a while since I started looking in 2021, but I finally got my Telluride. Once the dealer MSRP markups started coming down after Covid and supply chain issues, inventory was still very spotty around the Northeast and most were spoken for as soon as (or before) they hit the dealer's lots. After hunting around for a over a year, I decided to put some money into the car I had, and wait for the 2025MY to start deliveries.
After having searched inventory on line and checked numerous dealers after the 2025s started shipping, the SX-P (without either X) trim with my choice of colors was still in very short supply around here. Right before Christmas I was driving by a brand new Kia dealership in my area and there was a new vehicle carrier turning into the lot. I pulled in right behind it, and there it was... the first one in line to be unloaded from the carrier. Once it was determined that it wasn't spoken for, I was able to put a credit card hold on it on the spot. It's a 2025 SX-P, Glacial White Pearl w/ black interior. Picked it up Dec. 30th.
It's replacing a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I also purchased brand new. It only had 94K miles on it, but the New England road salt finally got to it after 19 years. The Jeep was one of the best cars I ever owned, but it was time for a change. I've only put 141 miles on the Telluride so far. First impressions are fantastic, and I hope it will be at least as enjoyable as the Jeep.
