Try contacting Jim Brophy, GM @ Gervais Kia in Lowell. He’s a good guy, will give you straight info, even returns phone calls!!Any Dealers in Massachusetts taking 2021 Telluride orders at MSRP with not Market Demand Mark-up?
Any mandatory dealer add ons? There are at least a few.
Lev Kia in Framingham is selling at MSRP. I placed an order with them in early June but I don't expect to see mine come in until Oct/Nov....their estimate at the time was 20 weeks. Ken Russian is my salesman and has been excellent to deal with. They require a $500 deposit and it is completely refundable. The exact wording on my order is "Subject to customer test drive and approval. Sale price based on Kia MSRP minus any incentives and/or factory rebates at time of delivery. " If you call Lev ask to speak with Ken and please tell him that Rich from Shrewsbury sent you. They have a healthy list of orders but they do receive quite a few Tellurides per month.
I also spoke to Jim Brophy at Gervais in Lowell and agree with what was said above. Very nice guy, answered all questions and I would not hesitate reaching out to him again.
Ron Bouchard Kia in Lancaster I believe is selling at MSRP though I am not 100% sure. I spoke to Brian Byington there. Brian actually reached out to me a couple weeks ago and texted me his list of incoming units but nothing matched exactly what my wife wanted. It may be worth giving Brian a call to see if they have something unclaimed that meets your needs.
I believe @jenfowler78 has also ordered at MSRP in MA. Maybe from Route 6 Kia in Swansea?
Good luck!
Rich
Whatever you do, do NOT go to Kia of Norwood - Dan O’Brien.
I bought mine at Kia of Attleboro. Ordered what I wanted, got MSRP.
I agree with not going to Dan O'Brien. Went to their location in Concord NH and they wanted $10k over MSRP. Ridiculous.I have heard the same and it is unfortunate because they seem to have the largest number of allocations in the area.
Another good one that I have heard about is Kia in Burlington. I don't personally have experience with them but they seem to get a good number of allocations.....similar to Lev.

Who did you work with at Kia of Attleboro?
I will also confirm Jim Brophy at Gervais Kia in Lowell. Compete non BS buying scenario. Lev Kia GM was poor at answering my emails.Any Dealers in Massachusetts taking 2021 Telluride orders at MSRP with not Market Demand Mark-up?
Ron Bouchard Kia is at msrp. Purchased one last week.

My experience at Kia of Norwood was not that bad. I actually walked in and was able to snag a Telluride SX with the prestige package and am getting the tow package installed after the fact by the dealer, and it's all included in the sale price. I was extremely lucky - it seems they received an unclaimed allocation, and I was able to snag it before anyone else and before the next batch coming in September.
The sales tactics there are definitely high pressure. They at first wanted to charge $7K in dealer markup. I stuck with my ask of MSRP, and eventually landed at a $2k markup. I actually think the markup in this case was warranted (especially because of availability and timing) as it's virtually impossible to get your hands on a SXP with Towing any time in the next 6-8 weeks at a minimum (and I've talked Kia of Attleboro, Lev Kia, Kia of Burlington and Quirk) - I had the car delivered today and am super happy.
If you don't mind negotiating a bit harder and playing the game a bit (I know - it's not ideal or fun), you can probably score one that you want way before any of the other dealerships, since Dan O'Brien kia just seems to be getting the most allocation in the area in recent months, with a good variety of color, trims and add-ons.
Hope this helps a bit!
Dan O’Brien is one of the biggest dealers out there, so they are going to get a large number of allocated vehicles. Vicinity to Boston and towns that are more affluent / years of them getting away with markups / people willing to pay above msrp for one of the fastest deprecating assets out there / a staff of sleazy stereotypical salesman make me strongly caution anyone going there.
My experience was that I wasn’t even allowed to test drive the car before agreeing to terms and putting down a deposit on the specific Telluride they had on the lot. I have excellent credit, was looking at an SX, and was clear that I wanted a custom order. Sales manager was rude, looked completely disheveled, and basically couldn’t care less about earning my business. I would have had choice words for them if my son wasn’t with me. They then had the audacity to call me an hour later to check in and see how I felt about the customer service I received. Clowns.
If anyone that is looking is able to wait after putting an order in, purchase elsewhere. Like I’ve said before, I got MSRP for my custom order at Kia of Attleboro. They joke that Dan O’Brien is like a feeder dealership for them for all the people that hated the Dan O’Brien experience and walked away.
Glad it worked out for you, but at the end of the day you still paid 2k over vs what others are able to get in the area. Totally understand on the timing piece, so glad you are happy with it.
See you out there on the roads!
