  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Any one had luck calling around the country using failcat?

I used it to find an unclaimed allocation to a dealership that's a 6 hour drive away. I called them up, was told it's available @MSRP and I've had a deposit on it since July. Dealership got decent reviews online and they seem pretty solid so far, I'm on my 5th ETA date and will hopefully go get it next month. I will be nervous right up until I drive it off the lot that it will be sold out from under me. Good luck to all!! :)

How much of a delay has it been from your current eta to the original?

Failcat date 7/13, first ETA to Northwest NY was 8/11, then 8/22 then 8/29, then 9/5 now 9/17. Sounds like there are a bunch of Tellurides in the factory lot waiting on transport.

This may be a dumb question, but I'm new to this site and new to the website Failcat. My question is, what's the most effective/efficient way for searching Failcat? I clicked on the cars tab in the website and it's just continuing to say "loading".

Thanks.

You using a PC or Mobile device?

If it's not loading, wait a few mins. Mine sometimes takes up to 30 secs.

After that:
1) Under Dealer, where is says "search" enter in your State, e.g. TX
2) Under Ext Color, Model, Int Color where it says Filter, click on it and select the options you are looking for.

It should then display the results you want. If you click on the Dealer code (TX018 shown below) it will tell you which dealer it is. InkedCapture_LI.webp

Ok, so my assumption is I'm looking for the newest or most current created date? Can I assume anything in July and before is already accounted for?

I found one using failcat. Called the dealer and it was available being delivered in about a week. It’s the only way to cut around the order and wait process. Keep calling dealers, persistence will pay off.
Same here, persistence pays off ! I have been searching Failcat for our specs since June and called many with no luck. Then I found one on Failcat Aug 15th, called and It was not spoken for, made a deal at only 500.00 over msrp. Flew down and picked it up 12 days later on Aug 27th ! Best 5 hr drive home I've ever had ! It is an AMAZING vehicle ! If anyone wants a good dealer experience in NC hit me up for the info and who to speak with.
