Anyone Purchased from Jim Butler Kia in Chesterfield, MO?

Yep! Much longer wait than we anticipated! I see people posting on the Facebook group about ordering this spring from other locations and already having theirs and it’s hard to take in.
Yeah I'm seeing that too. Very very very frustrating. I wonder if it was dealers that were charging over MSRP for orders and then stopped so they didn't have huge waitlists or something.

I got an email from Jim Butler around a month ago that said they were getting ready to start fulfilling December orders and claimed that December/January were pretty light because of the holidays so I was hoping they were towards the end of January by now. Big sad face seeing that you are at the beginning of November and are just now getting yours delivered.

With the changeover in production lines I'll be lucky to have mine by Christmas. I may go and order from one of these dealers that's showing a 6 week turnaround just to see what happens.

The good news is that we got notified of getting picked up in the system on June 9, so in theory they could be getting close to notifying you about your order.

I hope so.. Failcat shows theres been ~35 Tellurides picked up for Jim Butler since 6/7 (assuming one of those is yours). Hoping December/January are 10 each I'm still probably a month and a half or so away from hearing anything and that puts me at a 2023 in Novemberish. Kind of sucks but what can ya do.

My telluride has arrived! I hope you hear something soon if you haven’t already!
Mine is in transit. Did they put any Jim Butler badging on? Wanting to make sure after this long wait we don’t get stuck with badging/decals we don’t want.

If you're refencing a dealer sticker - identifying the dealer - just ask if they would not attach it to your vehicle when it arrives. If they do anyways, it's very easy to remove with a heat gun / hair dryer, Goo Gone, and some patience.

Enjoy the ride

Mine is on a truck on the way as we speak! Question, did Butler install any badging/decals? I don’t want any so I’m hoping not!
Mine did not have any. Only thing was the number plate frame with the dealer name which I have replaced.

For anyone still waiting and wanting a 2022, we found one on the lot near Edwardsville for only 2k over MSRP so we cancelled our order with Jim Butler. Definitely options out there!!

Congrats! Mind sharing name of the dealership?

I emailed my sales rep going on record requesting no dealer badging. He said he’d make sure no badging would be applied. Went to pick up car and there was the dealership’s sticker. I pointed it out to my sales rep. He picked it right off. Came off easily. It was applied over the ceramic coating.😊

They appear to have one used Telluride coming in soon for $56k
Interesting. We just bought our new 2022 nightfall last week for 52k.

Anyone on this thread that is still waiting like me get any info from their dealer lately? I called about a month ago and basically got a "non-update." I had already assumed I'll be getting a '23 which is fine, just some sort of info would be reassuring.

Same here. No updates.

Same deal with me. I know the dealers can see 2023 options in kfos now. I expected them to call and go over them with me but I haven't heard a peep. Not sure whats going on at this point.

yeah, my plan is to just call once I see the 2023's are available for ordering and go from there. Just frustrating that it seems we on this forum seem to know more than them, or at least prior to the news they just got last week. I'm just so paranoid about losing my spot in line as they re-submit 2023 orders...

I 100% was as well.. The only thing that sort of made me feel better is when my salesperson said "Dont worry about it, we have to do this every year."

Which is a good point. They do this for every year change, they just dont usually have to call the customers to do it.

My salesperson told me that I would keep my spot waiting on the '22 for a new '23 order. Also, I would be contacted when the time came to place the new order, so I'm just waiting. However, I think once the '23 information is officially out, I'll contact them just to make sure I don't fall through the cracks. Last time I inquired (about a month ago maybe), they were starting to fulfill the December '21 orders. I placed mine in March '22 so I figure I'll probably get a '23 in December.

I've heard nothing from the dealer since placing my order in March.
