• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi, any ideas if the auto engine on/off will remain off even though you turn off the engine already and when you start again, still off, Is it possible? If yes , how? Thanks for the reply😊

If I'm understanding your question correctly. The answer would be, no - you can't fully disable auto start/stop. Well technically you can through some wiring trickery but I wouldn't go there.

We all have to press that damn button every time we get in the car. From what I understand this has to do with manufacturer meeting emission standards overall across their lineup, or something like that. But I could be misinformed 🤷‍♂️

Oh okay Sir, yah your right its kinda annoying, here in Illinois is getting colder now everytime i stop my heater is off damn!😅 anyway besides that I like the performance of the car, just bought 2 days ago.. thanks for the reply.

My problem is the opposite. Mine keeps turning off when I want to keep it on. Any ideas on that one? I'm not touching the button, and every time I stop it turns itself off so my engine continues to run.

The ISG is not turning itself off in this situation. What you are describing is the ISG system not meeting required conditions to operate and turn off the engine. There are way more reasons why ISG will not want to engage as opposed to when it will engage. If it never engages for you after several hours of driving on a daily basis and you are not using a lot of climate control, may want to have your battery checked, charged or replaced.

Several reasons why the ISG operating conditions are not met, and would prevent it from turning off the engine.

Common ones are engine coolant temp, temperature outside, climate control temp not reached.

Even when the ISG does turn off your engine, when it senses the battery charge is getting too low or the cabin temp is getting to far from the climate control set point, it will need to start the engine again prematurely.

I do agree though that the threshold for battery charge is set too high for ISG to function. Unless I drive for hours on the highway everyday, the battery hardly ever has enough juice to power ISG. Only when I charge the battery to full with a charger will it restore ISG function for a day or two.

Thank you so much. This is very helpful!

Has anyone tried this!?
