Auto Engine Stop / Start?

It worked for about two days after charging and then stopped. My father was telling me that maybe it’s a bad alternator that’s not charging the battery. I literally just charged my battery again for about 15hrs last night. I’m about to go for a drive and see how it goes.
Is you car COMPLETELY stock..no after market lights or other stuff plugged in? I've had 0 problems with my Telly. Take it to the dealer..that's what that great warranty is for bro.

It’s not completely stock, only thing I’ve added that could’ve possibly affected it are my headlight bulbs and my dash cam. I’ve taken it to the dealer and so far they’ve replaced the drive mode module but that hasn’t done anything.

Side note: great warranty does not equal great service.

My advice would be to remove those items to see if it alleviates the problem. If not get serious with the service department. If that doesn't work try suggesting to said dealership a letter to the better business bureau. Kia is doing some extraordinary new things to promote the brand. Our car was drivin to us sight unseen by our salesman to our home. We told him what we wanted. If we didn't want it..no problem. No deposit. No hassle. We ended up buying it and he drove our trade in home. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Hope you can get it resolved.

I live in a small town in Oregon. Yeah we were very impressed. It was during covid as well. But we picked it out and got to test drive it on familiar roads. Take note American car company's. Steve..our salesperson told us it's a new Kia program they are trying out. Good luck..sorry your haveing trouble with such a great car.
 
Mine worked fine until a couple weeks ago, even with a daily stop/go commute of 15 minutes each way. It wouldn't kick in for the first couple stops, but after a couple minutes of driving it would work like a charm. I wonder if the battery has just degraded to the point where it doesn't meet the threshold for ISG, as you said, but still starts the car fine. I'll try to dig up a multimeter in the garage and check it tonight.
ISG won’t activate until the coolant is fully warmed / engine is at temperature. This is why it doesn’t work for the first few stops.

I wouldn’t really call it a trouble because when I had it, I really didn’t like it but now that it doesn’t work it just bothers me because the car is new. I’m scared what other things might happen down the road.

I disabled mine the first week we had it. My post is in this forum of how I did it with a zip tie. I don't like my engine sitting off unless I do it. I live in a town with three stoplights so urban stop and ho is not a issue. Personally I think you would have to drive a million miles for the his to make any environmental impact. Just another gimmick to make the climate Nazis happy. But we got a heavy duty starter and battery out of it.

Mine hadn’t worked for months. But I my trips are usually short and it’s cold where I live.
So put sport mode and drove it for half an hour. It worked twice as I was parking back.
Next no ISG.
I put a charger which showed battery Status less than 25%. Charged for 12 hours and it started working again.

Next day no ISG again. Checked battery and it showed less than 25% again.

Your battery needs to be replaced.

Also make sure you are testing with the tool set to AGM if required.

As FYI - similar situation to you after a few months of ownership - car wouldn’t even start though. Got a new battery and been good ever since.

Dealer thinks it’s the button after they tried to charge the battery at their shop and it still wouldn’t engage.
They think it’s the button and want to replace it.
They only charged it for an hour though to 60% I think.

I have to share with them what I have done.

The charger was set to AGM , 5 amps for over 10 hours.
 
My stop/start feature doesn’t seem to work. The dash light ( A with an arrow around it ) always activates but it’s orange/amber coloured. Today was actually the first time it was green and the engine really did turn off. It only did it twice, then back to Amber coloured again- weird. We’ve been to the dealership and they tested but were unsure. Said it probably was on account of the outdoor temperature ( 4 degrees ) ?!? But they also admitted that they really couldn’t determine why it isn’t working properly and asked us to check back with them in a couple of months when they’ve learned more about the Telluride and it’s systems?!? Anyone else?!
I am experiencing the same issue. Supposed to go in in a couple weeks, hopefully they can determine why.

My 2021 auto stop did not after about 14K. Never liked due to fear of wear/tear, so would often soft brake. At 19K, dealer discounted “conditions not met theory”, could not find anything wrong, and so ordered voltage level sensor. Phoned dealer to cancel order as auto stop was again functioning. Dealer insisted on completing process and 2 weeks later, installed sensor. Auto stop worked 2 more days and then did not. FYI yawl-
