I’m looking for a reliable extended warranty for my Kia Telluride that offers comprehensive coverage similar to the manufacturer’s warranty. Ideally, I want something that actually pays for mechanical breakdowns without a hassle and provides good overall protection.

Has anyone had a positive experience with a particular provider? I’d love to hear recommendations on companies that offer solid coverage and actually honor claims when repairs are needed.

Whatever you find to evaluate, read the "Exclusions" section of the actual policy very carefully. The bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.

Kia of Muncie seems to have the best price for the extended warranty by Fidelity Warranty Services, Inc. Also called Kia Distinction. Read following thread discussion. Car electronics have short warranty period.

I have no experience with extended warranties on my Kia. I can share the following, having owned my own repair shop for 37 years:

The "Factory" extended (backed by Kia, and presumably the one mentioned above) warranty is the only way to go. Honored at just about any dealer in the USA and likely (?) in Canada also.

I handled many claims for my customers with a myriad of 3rd. party companies. After many years of doing so, I usually initiated a conversation with my customer's thus:
I will only use either OEM or genuine parts. My labor rate is XX without negotiation. If the job is $1750, and your company only pays $750... You are responsible for the rest.
Factory backed warranties skip most of the B/S and usually have a moderate deductible.

Some of the low ball companies wanted to supply used parts!

Needing to purchase such for my Telly and the wife's crown, shop for the best price. It varies wildly.

Yeah thisnis the one my dealership sold to me...no deductible if i use it where i bought but if i use it elsewhere 100$ i have used it so far for a new infotainment unit...gonna use it for front sensor and door lock next

My warranty plan from Kia of Muncie did not say there is deductible when using non purchased dealership for repairs, but so far I have not made any warranty claims yet. Keep us informed about your next warranty repairs. Thanks.
