• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I called Bilstein. They weren't aware of any testing for tge Telluride or Palisade... doesn't mean they're not. Just the rep I talked to wasn't familiar

Gent I've been in contact with said they're done with testing OEM replacement products and are now working on a B8 TerraSport lift product specific to the Telluride and Palisade.

Unfortunately, he cannot share actual release dates for any of the products but said they usually come out "within a few months after testing", and said their online catalog and dealers gets updated monthly on product releases.

I hope you are right. A simple 1" to 1.5" lift would be great in my opinion. I wish there were a few good skid plates as well. Not that I want to do anything extreme but sometimes that stuff just keeps you from scaping off the evaporator or other low hanging fruit.

I agree. Anyone recommend 'any' skid plates available for my SXP XPRO?

Appreciate the update. I know my shocks are blown, so adding these would be great and a awesome addition to my build.
Picture of it for your viewing pleasure

A company called Baja Forged made custom skid plates for a Telluride that joined the recent Rebelle Rally.

I asked them if there were plans to make them available for other vehicles, but their response was pretty much "... depends on demand", and said, if they did, it would go for (estimated) $1200 to $1500 plus around $250 for shipping.

I reached out to a local gent here in CA that makes skid plates and catalytic converter "cages" to see if he can make skid plates for the Telluride - he's got me on a wait list, behind other requests. The plates he makes go for around $400 to $600, and can possibly "mass produce" more if there's a demand for one.

Keep us posted. A regular Kia metal skid that really just replaces a plastic cover lists for nearly 600. If a better version with some protection for the cat, I think the evap is under there and fuel tank for 1200 it would be pretty good.

Let’s see some pictures!

I wanted to see the one they made for the Telluride.
Nothing yet. Still waiting for him to free up so he can take measurements and plan one out.

If anyone can find drawings for the OEM skid plate Kia is offering, I can send that over him to cut down some of his production time.

My thought was that Baja Forged made skid plates for a Telluride for the Rebel Rallye... thus would have templates already
