• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hey fellow Telluride lovers. I thought I'd share some exciting news from borla. They are creating a nice deep sounding exhaust for our car.

Nice find. I'm interested signed up for notifications

Same here. I remember if the sema Telluride video of the orange one on the roadcourse it sounded nice. I looked it up later to find out the specs of the Telluride sema modela and it had a modified exhaust.

About 1 minute into the short video you get to hear it.

Nice!

The same reason the Durango RT and SRT, bmw x5m and x7m, Cherokee track hawk and srt, the new tahoe with the bigger v8, expedition and navigator, the ford explorer sport and regular with a set of turbos boasting 300-400hp. All big family haulers with a lil umph behind them. Same reason people on the forum want the stinger v6 tt engine. To each his own. I love the way the telluride is. I think it would be nice to have a nice rumble to it or perhaps just a lil more power and tq. 330hp 300 tq would have been perfect. Again love the telluride as is but just sharing to the community that the people at borla and other performance manufacturers are hearing what some ppl might want. A nice low rumbling exhaust will be nice and still maintain the integrity of the Telluride. Ppl already want to off road the vehicle, sema has already started doing this. Just giving us vehicle enthusiasts a way to personalize our vehicles to our liking.

Comparing the Telly engine to an SRT or a sports car or even turbo engines is apples and oranges. But go with what you want...Personally I would shake my head if I ever heard one with mufflers. If you wanted muscle or more Torque/HP why on earth did you buy a Telly??? Get those RPM's up

Lol im not comparing a sports car i was comparing other large suvs that also have alot of power. I traded in my 4runner limited for the Telluride sxp. Trying to state that crossovers and suvs do have performance variants and that some people like a little umph. I also have a c7 z06 for my toy. I was simply stating that borla is making an exhaust for the telluride and that sema and other manufacturers are making parts for the telluride for other uses such as more offroad capabilities. Im not wanting alot of power from my telluride as it is my daily driver with a hella commute to dc. I just think a nice exhaust note would sound good. Once borla comes out with it and i get to hear it will determine whether or not I get one. Other than that I think the Telluride and Palisade are amongst the best 3 row suvs on the market today esp in this price range. I chose the telluride because of its value warranty and unique design and spacious interior. Its more refined than my 4runner limited as toyota needs a complete overhaul on the 4runner interior, engine and transmission as they are antiquated. I'm just happy to see that hyundai/kia are bringing their A game hard esp their genesis line up which will have allegedly a G80 suv/crossover with a robust 6 with some turbos but im assuming a hefty price tag to go along with it. But yes I say again there are plenty of large suvs with hp up to 600hp. I agree that i dont see the point in all that power on a family hauler but hey to each his own. But nothing wrong with a little more go in the gas pedal.

Why? It's not a sports car... It's an 8 passenger SUV..a great one at that...

I'm in the same boat with you on this one. This is an average powered family hauler..I want it to be as quiet as possible for long trips. I have a mustang that will shatter your teeth loud and a Stinger that has a little growl to it. I'm not seeing much of a market for it on the Telly, but to each his own. One of the strong points of this thing is the quietness of the cabin, I would like to keep it that way.

I completely agree I was just sharing with the telly fam. I do like borla though as while on throttle the growl might be nice and while cruising close to stock sound with no drone. But yeah those stangs can def get loud. I believe the telly is a bit above avg esp depening the the model you get. This car is just super feature packed. We also have the Palisade limited which is extremely nice inside.

Nice, but for $610 plus installation, I’ll hang on for a while.

Tempting, but the wife would probably get tired of carting the kids around in a growling Telluride.

If you are going to do an aftermarket exhaust, why not go all the way and make it a dual exhaust...which the Telly is sorely missing?

The only thing is you would have to move the spare tire into the cargo area to make room for it. I would never do that, but I am sure the hardcore enthusiasts wouldn’t mind!

@Crossfire00 thank you so much for posting the video. It sounds awesome. Definitely it will be on my wish list. What's next? a straight pipe? :D

It even has the cutout under the rear bumper for a dual exhaust, it just looks like its missing something there.

Roof mounted spare tire with roof rack!
