I am looking to purchase in Telluride in December or January. I am wanting the S trim which I haven't seen available anywhere. What is the process in ordering one? Do you put down a deposit and get approved for the loan at the time of order? Do you negotiate a price ahead of time? When should I order if I want delivery in December or January? What is the step by step process? Any help anyone can provide would be amazing.

If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. Call up a bunch of dealerships and comparison shop?
If nothing you want is on the lots, perhaps you can find a dealership that will take a $500-$1000 deposit from you.
The deposit will hold your place on a wait list to order the Telluride you want.
Each dealership has their own policy regarding pricing and wait lists for popular trims in AWD.
If you’re in a hurry, a bunch of dealerships may have what you want and charge a markup above MSRP.
If you’re willing to wait months for an AWD Telly S, EX, SX, SX Prestige Package, SX P/T sold at MSRP + tax, title & license, you might want to consider getting on a wait list at a dealership that allows deposit -> wait list (weeks to months) -> order picked up by KFOS
