• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Good Day fellow drivers,

My wife and I have had our 2020 Telluride about 2.5 years. All service etc is up to date and to now we are very happy with the car.

However the last 2 days we have encountered an issue. On starting the car makes a loud buzzing when turning over and then fails to start. It's the kind of buzz you'd hear if your next door neighbour was drilling their wall. It will do this once or twice and then start normally. We have 2 young kids and so don't want to risk heading out to find the car then will not start away from home.

Any input or similar issues with you guys?

Thanks,

G

Hello. This could be a sign that the battery may not be charging and/or may need to be replaced. I would get it tested at either the dealer or an auto parts store, sooner rather than later. A few owners here have found that the 2020 batteries aren't lasting very long. It could also be the starter, but I would check battery and charging system first.

The previous post is sound advice. I would say it's probably the starter. I've heard that sort of sound before come from it. I don't recall ever hearing that from a bad battery. However, stranger things have happened. Especially with these vehicles and all of the electronics that are in them. Good luck!
