If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Can we expect used/off lease Tellurides start to appear on the market with 15-20% off initial msrp?

I'm looking to buy at around summer of 2020. Do you guys think we'll have noticeable choice (by "noticeable" I mean to not to have to drive to another state lol to buy one) from used units by that time? Also, will it be reasonable to expect 15-20% off msrp for a 1-1.5 year old Telluride under 25k miles?
The reason I ask is that I usually buy cars slightly used to avoid initial depreciation and save money. Telluride is a perfect car, but it's even better when it's bought for a good price :)

Great question. I saw a used SX ( not prestige), w/ 1,400 miles listed in Seattle area. 57K was original price but they’ve now knocked it down 3K to $54,000. Crazy

Yes, I think we are starting to see prices at msrp often and even a bit under msrp - like $1-2k under msrp for a new Tellurides.
I'm still going to wait for a slightly used 1.5 year old one for about $40k for SX with under 25k miles. Hopefully this will be the price come this summer.

The minimum lease period - as far as I know - is 24 months. So I think you have at least another year for off-lease Tellurides.

A forum member posted a link to a listing at a Mercedes Benz dealership in FL - FWD SX for about $39,000 - roughly $4k discount to current MSRP new. So, yes it will happen in time. SX with Prestige package may be a bit longer before we see substantial discounts. Happy waiting.

@Pikachu The certified pre-owned Tellurides in my market (Tulsa, OK) are few and far between. The one dealer who has them--who often sells new one's OVER MSRP--is also selling the CPO ($33,400) at or over sticker ($33,565) with 14k miles!

You can go 12 miles down the road and buy new at Ferguson Kia for MSRP.

Because of the tight supply/demand curve, I don't expect these to drop in price until a) an SX can stay on a lot more than 4 days without selling, b) the targeted 100K product a year number hits and/or c) the 2021 Kia Tellurides are announced which I expect around October or November 2020 timeframe. The thing is, Kia won the NACOTY, KBB and MotorTrend SUV of the year with the 2020. If it were MY product and marketing budget, I would ride out that model year for as long as I could with those accolades.
