• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Canadian 2021 Telluride

Did your dealer ever get back to you with an update on the other features?
Nope.. just radio silence.. I think even they do not know what is coming for 2021.

I am waiting for a VIN to be assigned and then ask about these things before signing the documents

It has been 3 weeks since the last conversation with my manager. I decided today to talk to him again, as usual I could not get through to him. My manager is dumb.
I called the general manager. I asked to tell how the system works and what happens:
In Canada, there is a queue, cars are distributed in order from the date of order. There is no such as in America, a large or small dealer.
Kia Canada distributes the car depending on the configuration and date of order. As I understand it, we are all on the same line.
He also confirmed that all orders were transformed in 2021 and the difference in price would be covered by Kia Canada.
He sent me an e-mail confirmation in the following form:
validated
6000004738
ANTON *********
S9W8J6A1KHH189
TELLURIDE (ON) SX
2021
SWP
WK
04/24/2020

He also said that they cannot check their status and request from Kia Canada, since Kia Canada simply does not respond to their letters. There is a validated status - this means the order is accepted and confirmed and is in production.
The next step, when the car is ready to be sent, Kia Canada will send them an email that the car for Anton will be sent such a date.
I also called my friend who works as a Kia sales manager, he has a client who ordered SX on February 28th. Kia Canada recently sent a letter that this car will arrive in the salon in the fourth week of August. It turns out 6 months.

What are these numbers in columns 2 and 4?
I understand that in the 4th column there is already preVIN number?

Column 2 looks like internal number.. you are the 4738 request in Canada.. .column four I don't know what that is..

I ordered a SXL mid March. My last update from my dealer was that Kia said all orders would be filled between August and October. I am hoping for August🤞

Man.. if it's August.. I will be elated . There will be at least 1 month of summer road trips to squeeze in

mannn my dealer didnt even know what the heck was going to happen...and i wanted a telly so bad ! lets hope its coming

He's not actually trying to sell me either or. They had some 2020 SX Limited with Napa that I was interested in which they sold. He isn't getting anymore 2020 models and is simply letting me know what he knows about the 2021. The Canadian model in 2020 was different from the USA version. Different rims, not all colours available for interior / exterior - so im not surprised the specs don't match again. But it does suck.

i know it is suck....

Any updates on the 2021 models? if there is no remote start, my dealer has a managers special on a 2020 SX I might go for.. save some time and money...

My husband and I ordered a 2021 SX-L w/ Nappa in Everlasting Gray w the Midnight package yesterday. There is one new color, the Black Copper. The white is called something different - Glacial White Pearl. The Nightfall Package is called then Midnight Package in Canada. Price point is similar, only $1000 more than a 2020 SX-L. They told us it’ll be probably around 6 months until we get it. I have the dealer guide for the 2021 from a secret source and our sales guy said he doesn’t even have it yet. It’s true it doesn’t have remote start on the key fob, which is a bummer. Not sure why the USA gets that but not us.

It sounds like no updates for us in Canada besides 2 new colours. Hopefully Kia will surprise us when the 2021’s start rolling into dealer lots but unlikely. I am surprised you can still find a 2020 SXL, especially if it has Nappa.

Not the SXL.. just the SX.... I can live without rain sensing wipers and HUD... I don't know whether the self leveling rear suspension is that big of a deal... And no remote start in 2021 is a bummer.. rather get the 2020 and get 5 yrs of uvo than get the 2021 with 3 yrs

That’s news. I ordered a 2021 white SXL with gray nappa last week. The dealer says they have no info about any black edition in Canada. I even have the Canadian brochure which I posted to start this thread and there is no midnight edition.

Do you have any proof of this?

You’re right - it is not on the brochure, but is available. It was clearly specified on the paperwork prepared by our sales guy that we signed for the factory direct order yesterday. I will post a photo of that tomorrow but that’s really all I’ve got along with an email from a sales guy saying he confirmed with Kia Canada rep that it was an option. Apparently it was to be released in the fall but because of Covid they’re allowing earlier orders.

Which dealer did you order from?

I would also like to know. I just ordered a 2021 white SXL Nappa today. I asked multiple times about the blackout and they also it’s not an option. I was offered OEM wheels in black as a special order for $1400.
