• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Canadian 2021 Telluride

Brantford Kia posted this response to my inquiry

"Essentially we're getting the same car with two new colours. That's the official preliminary information that we have right now. We also expect a black edition with black wheels, but we have no "official" information on that yet. "

I'm interested in Telluride but sad to find out Canadian Telluride doesn't have the black rims when you get the SX and other upper trims like the States. Was hoping for it to change 2021 but it looks like they won't. Ah well...Wait for Sorento and maybe by then they will have the black rims on the Telly.

Based on the email from Brantford Kia, we just may get the Telluride with black rims. I wonder when the expected 2021 release will be for the Telluride in general

Not a lot of new info from my dealer. They said that Canadian 2021 production will begin in July and 2021’s will start hitting dealer lots by August. They are clearing out the backlog of 2020 orders that were converted to 2021 first. No word on pricing increases but a previous post mentioned that Kia Canada would cover any increase on converted orders. I wonder if we too will get the 2021 updates that the US models are getting?

Went to check out a dark moss sx this week. Very nice masculine car.

However, reading up on telluride issues. Good Reviews But Problems Plague 2020 Kia Telluride | MotorBiscuit
As well as on the forum. Got me pretty scared about reliability.

Think the 2021's starting production in July will resolve all the 2020 issues?
Of course not, this will happen when there is a first restyling.
minor problems such as those with the windshield have already been solved, since without problems kia can ask the supplier to change the composition. problems that require structural changes will be resolved to restyling. otherwise, Kia will incur big losses

This is really common for brand new models of any vehicle. It sounds like Kia has done a good job of rectifying problems through recalls, software updates and bulletins. The 2021 updates fix some of most common complaints. The overall reliability still looks to be near the top of all brands. The 5yr/100,000km warranty is also good piece of mind.

Any Canadian dealers out there with updates for the Canadian 2021 Telly? Internal dealer brochure or something? The USA info came out a while ago now and nothing yet from Kia Canada. Hopefully they start producing them soon, there looks to be only 100 or so 2020 Telluride’s available in the whole country right now

I posted the internal brochure at the start of this thread. There is nothing new for Canada. Everything is the same, just the new colours. No blackout edition.

Thanks Mario, I did see that. I thought that maybe they would release a more detailed breakdown by model, like the US dealers had been given that may list any changes. I would have assumed at the very least we would get remote start on the key fob and 7 pin towing since they are all coming from the same factory. Too bad.

Kia Canada has a problem - save on brochures.:D
When I changed my 2017 sedona to a 2019 sedona, dealers got a small brochure of 25х25 centimeters in which there was a table on the equipment and their changes.

According to telluride 2021 there will be no changes, except for color.

Most likely, Kia Canada does not add a remote start to us, because for Canadians, UVO will be free for 5 years for 2020 models and 3 years for 2021 models.

I hope Kia will be nice and give us 5 years of UVO on 2020 orders that were converted to 2021.

I ordered my SXL with hitch and all weather mats on June 30. I was told it will be the 2021 Model due to arrive on September. I called the dealership today and they confirmed that nightfall is not coming. I told them to check on the other features - namely 7 pin harness and remote start. Dealership said that they will check up on that get back to me.

I was thinking of getting a pleasant surprise with all the upgrades to 2021, but it seems like Canada is shafted once again...

Yeah, doesn't make much sense that Canadian models wouldn't match the US specs since they are built at same location in US. But, would have to see the specs from Canada to confirm. Lots of dealers BS their way through Customer Inquires to encourage folks to buy now. "No changes for next year, so buy this one we have!"
Km vs. mph on the dash?!?!

Booked mine on 4th April, still waiting for the Toronto East dealer to come back with some updates. No confirmation on the new booking no confirmation on delivery or the 2021 changes. All i get is "KIA Canada has no updates"

There is no updates in Canada. The problem with Canada is that they have not received pricing yet. Reason for this is due to NAFTA. I guess they are just honouring the 2020 price for now... but it NAFTA is an issue I wonder if they will even be able to ship cars over the border before they figure it out.

Is a Booking confirmation, Binding on the Dealership/KIA as an entity to fulfill the order by a set date or within the initial indicated estimated wait-time? Is it possible to send a Legal notice or involve the OMVIC in matters of delayed order fulfillment(in this case 'NO Updates from KIA Canada').

Wondering if there are others that are in similar situation and want to join forces?

Did your dealer ever get back to you with an update on the other features?
