• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Three years ago I coated my black 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. I used Optimum Gloss Coat and it worked very well even though the prep was a nightmare.

Flash forward to today and I would like to coat my new Telluride SX Gravity Gray. The prep is done. I made sure the dealer didn't touch the exterior so I just did the De-ionize wash and then wiped down with Klean Strip. No swirls and it's ready to go. It has a build date of 9-11-19 so the paint is not even three weeks old.

There are a ton of Ceramic options now. Lot's are dirt cheap but the Optimum Gloss Coat is still around $90. Are the cheaper options any good. I also see that there are spray options now.

What's my best option for a DIY job?

Going to give the Nano Bond a try. Seemed to have a lot of good verified reviews on Amazon and a guy tested it on Youtube doing half a hood and water test a day later. For $25 I'll give it a shot. If it lasts a year I'll be happy. I'm thinking keeping a coat of wax on top of might help it last longer.
