If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Will asking for a paint color change cause you to lose your place in line? I'd like to change from Black Copper to Wolf Gray, no other changes. I put in the order at the end of August, but if I change I'm afraid that it will be that much longer before the vehicle finally comes in because they will put me at the back of the line.

That would be a question for your dealer. Some dealers will do it as long as it hasn’t been picked up in KFOS. Other dealers won’t do it at all. Was yours picked up in September?

I’m sure it depends on the dealer but I ordered from Arapaho Kia in Colorado. My original order of Dark Moss was picked up in KFOS in August… later that month I changed my order to Wolf Gray and I had to get back in line it will get picked up again in KFOS in October. But for me waiting an extra two months is worth getting the color I really want.

My dealer also told me I would have to get back in line--it was before picked up by KFOS.

Thanks all; I do not believe mine has been picked up by KFOS (info out of the dealer has been hard to get), but I put the order in at the end of August.

I asked my salesman to what he could to keep me in line; I figure that it's advantageous to him and the dealership as well to do so if they can, because they get their commission earlier.

But as of now, he's saying that I go to the back of the line.

As per StephenCantrelle, orders can be modified without losing your place in line as long as they have not been picked up into KFOS. However, it seems most dealerships would rather cancel and re-enter the order. Mine included. Funny thing is I wanted to add options which would've increased the price.
