• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I have a 2022 Telluride LX I purchased last week. Last night I drove my mother and her friend (both in their 80s) to a gathering of friends. When we arrived, my mothers friend was on the phone and asked if she could stay in the vehicle while she was on the phone (she was sitting in the middle row). I told her that was fine and my mother, twins, and myself exited the vehicle. I left it unlocked and before my young twins exited, I disengaged the child safety lock.

About 40 minutes later, I noticed my mothers friend was not inside anywhere so I went to check on her. She was locked in the vehicle and couldn't get out! Fortunately, it was a cool night and not July or even June here in Phoenix, or this could have been very tragic.

For some reason the child safety lock re-engaged while the vehicle was off and unlocked. I tried finding a setting but I haven't found any way to edit how the lock works.

Has anyone else accidentally locked someone in their vehicle?

How did you lock it? The car detail place locked mine and I can’t figure out how to unlock it.
