• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Going in tomorrow to test drive, but I've been skeptical of KIA tbh and would like owner feedback.

(1) Are the Tellurides reliable? Major problems reported in the 2020 model?
(2) Do I need AWD to tow? We'd like to get a camper (there's 4 of us and 2 dogs). I had the impression that the FWD would handle towing, but the dealer I'm working with is pushing AWD.
I plan on getting the towing package regardless.
(3) Any major selling points from the EX to the SX, other than the appearance?
(4) Is it better to just order a build, opposed to purchasing what's on the lot? I feel like I could save a few thousand that way...
(5) Is it really better than the Palisade?

Any other thoughts appreciated. It will be my first actually new vehicle, and I want to make sure it's worth it :)

Some AWD models have vibration at speeds around 110km/hr.
There are threads in this forum you can search.

You have some reading to do. Everything has been discussed many times here

I would suggest you start by using the search function on this forum for each of your points above. You'll find a TON of information and opinions to read. Then if you still have unanswered questions, add a specific additional question to an existing thread that pertains to the same topic, rather than posting them all in one. Users who have already responded to that thread will get notified and you'll get better responses that way. Good luck with your research!

1- see pic
2- My opinion is for a big car, it’s better with awd. I have No experience with towing. Also search for “vibration”
3- Go to Kia.com and do comparison. Only you can decide
4- If you can wait order is always better. Get exactly what you want at msrp.
5- Every single reviews I read says yes. And based on CR, less trouble spots (see pic)

Hope it helps.

Great question...,think that was the purpose of asking to ask owners there thoughts specifically and no need to research....

+10 Asking questions that have been covered extensively in the past. Search will get you hundreds if not thousands of comments.

On #2: I've towed various campers for over 40 years. Not a single time did I have AWD or 4WD. And I never got in a situation, from FL to AK and everywhere in-between, where I needed AWD/4WD. Now if I was towing down some forest service roads, gravel, mud, etc., then sure, I would want 4WD. Honda Ridgeline pickup truck is a popular FWD tow rig. My next tow vehicle will likely be 4WD, not for towing, but for other uses (off road capability).

On #5. The Palisade is a "sister" to the Telluride, same basic mechanicals. To me, its just ugly. Each has a few distinct features the other does not. Nothing earth shattering.
