If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Dealer Markup

Ye
100 SXP are in a warehouse and ready to be sold on Black Friday at MSRP? :)
Remember that ship that went down with Tellurides in the ocean? We are selling refurbished at 50% off!

You can fly or we can ship. Join the NJ club. I'd say 4-6 months if you want a SX-P

Is it the same waiting time for SX AWD (not prestige)? Had another dealer list MSRP on site and then say $5000 markup when I came in lol

SMH. What BS. It is very hard to say. My gut says maybe so but with so many orders placed only the Mother Ship knows for sure.

Yeah NJ is rough. Going to look at Pallisade tomorrow. Looked at a Mazda CX9 today but wasn't a fan. Might stop by another Kia dealer to see if they'll play ball. There's a local one that has one in black, (I'd like moss green) but at least I can check to see if they're marking up too.

I have Palisade as well. Gates Hyundai-Richmond KY

Yeah my biggest issue is time constraint. So that's why I'm checking lots instead of ordering unfortunately
What do you want?

I'm looking around for a moss green Telluride SX with AWD (non-prestige). In terms of Palisade I'm not sure yet. I'm going to test drive tomorrow. I'm not 100% sold on the front end, but I've only seen it in pictures so I'm not sure. I'm probably looking for SEL with premium and convenience package if I decide to go that route. What are your thoughts on Palisade? Does it drive pretty similarly?

They do. I think it really comes down to what looks best to you.

I think the Palisade felt a bit “softer”, but pretty similar. Both drive great - I would be happy from a drive perspective. Looks were the killer - especially with the tow package - hideous on the Palisade.

Hi guys, I was looking on google for the dealer mark up on the Tellurides and I found this forum, I work at a Kia dealership and we just got some allocations for next month, we even have one for this month. We are also giving our customers the opportunity to build their Tellurides by placing the order with us, that can take from 45 to 90 days. In neither of those cases we are charging over the sticker price. If you want more information feel free to contact me through DM and I'll give you more information. I'm not putting my contact and the dealer info because I want to know if the forum administrators are ok with this first.

Hope to hear from any of you guys soon.
Hi Javier where are you located?

FYI
After the mark-up, I've determined its actually not that much more to get a similarly equipped 2019 Audi Q7. Dealers are discounting them $7,000 for a $62,000 car which puts it on par with a marked up Telluride.

Correct, but they'll get that discount back in maintenance - over the long run. All depends on objective. Q7 is nice - better engine and tried and true design. Nothing exciting, but a well made popular vehicle. The fully loaded prestige option with digital dash is much more than 62.

Yeah, a fairly stripped Q7 in the $50-55k range. The other issue is that the Q7 3rd row is unusable for long trips at least for my kids. Otherwise it would be a nice option vs. the wait.

I didn't want to wait any longer bought a Toyota Highlander XLE AWD for less then the price of a Telluride S AWD.
That's one way around the ridiculous dealer greed grab!

Enjoy the Highlander! 2019 or 2020 model? My guess is 2019...

Indeed. I’ve given up on a Telluride. They’re obviously very nice cars. You can get a Volvo XC90 for similar though. Mad to buy a Kia when you can get a Volvo

You can look at this statement both ways. We are crushing Volvo 3rd from the bottom in the dependability department. Land Rover and Fiat were only brands worse.
