• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Apologies if this belongs in the How To's & DIY section--looks like I didn't have the option to post there.

So I ended up with some curb rash on one of my Midnight Edition wheels. I'd like to try to repair it myself but had a couple questions for anyone who might have done this before:

1. Are those $20 kits on Amazon worth it? I'm leaning towards just buying sandpaper and paints myself because I just don't know about those kits.
2. Is there a specific paint color to look for? I would guess either a gloss black or black and then a clear coat gloss on top of that. But maybe Kia has a specific paint number to look for?
3. What is the difficultly level on this? I've never done this before so I definitely fall into the novice category, but I feel that after a couple Youtube tutorials I could figure it out.

I'd really appreciate any and all advice on this. Ideally I'd like to avoid paying someone else a couple hundred bucks if I could do it myself. Thanks!
