• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Do you have any complaints about your Telluride?

Non matching 3rd row seats in the prestige package.

We have had our Telluride about 15 months now. My wife is the main driver, she has put almost 23,000 miles on the vehicle. The only real complaint she has is that you have to hit the button on the door handle to unlock the car with remote unlocking. Other vehicle we have allow you to open the vehicle with the pull of ANY door handle. Really inconvenient when you are trying to open the rear door to get kids situated. The only minor quibble we have with the Telluride......it has been an outstanding choice for us, especially with a 5 and 6 year old!

I own a 2020 Telluride EX model This vehicle has the window shades on the back windows, The problem is that the hooks that hold the shades up keep falling off and I guess fell out the window Because I could not find them, I brought the vehicle back to the dealership 2 times and was told they were on order , that was over a month ago.I cannot put the window shades up without the hooks. anyone else have this problem, or tell me where I can get these hooks.

look at #15. But oddly enough, #15 looks like the right piece when you look at it in the diagram but, when you click the piece, the zoom of it does not look like the piece in the diagram. I am not with my Telly now to even see it if is the part. And yikes, it shows the shade at $140.....geez.

There is a service bulletin for this. A dealer will replace them.

@mdineen , yours should not be affected by this issue.

So my biggest complaint is the plastic trim around the body. I would have willingly paid another $1K to get painted body molding.

I also wish they had put auto dimming mirrors and placed accent lighting around the cup holders. None of these are big deals but the plastic trim needs to go! I love everything else on the vehicle so far.

So it's inevitable! No ride is perfect. Right? What are one or two of the things you dislike about your Telluride?
Would have been better if there was body coloured fender like Palisade.
The black fenders running across the lower body looks cheap and fades at places with time.

I just got my SX yesterday and I'll tell you that you will not be disappointed. It is a great vehicle and loaded with features, more than what my Audi had.
Hope you are not comparing it to an early 2000's Audi?

My biggest complaint with the Telluride is I have to wait to get mine. :(

Waiting might be good.
You might end up with a 2021 model. It would take care of issues pointed out in 2020 Tellurides
I'm good with that...........but based on other posts here, I may be waiting for a long time

You can get remote start on your Key Fob, its about $450 but I just had it included in my deal without paying extra for it. However, so far I have had no problem with the app and like it better because I can set my temp for the A/C and turn on the vents for the seats with the app. Being in Texas I primarily only use the remote start to cool off the vehicle anyway or warm it up on cold days but wanted to remote on the key fob if there is an issue with cell service.
How do you get remote start on the key fob????? I asked specifically for this when I ordered/purchased my Telly but then got it and it didn't have any remote start key fob...only the UVO app which doesn't work in my area.
Please tell me more about the fob!!!!!!!

Kia will gladly sell you an add on module that allows for remote start from the key fob.
Please tell me more about the add on module that allows for remote start from the key fob!!!! I asked specifically for this feature when I ordered/purchased my Telly but it didn't have it when it arrived. They tell me it is not available. Only the UVO app and that doesn't work in my area!!!
I'm so disappointed. I love my Telly but would love to have remote start.
Any inside advice or help would be appreciated. Maybe I can contact a different dealership and talk to them.
TIA

You replied to a March 22 2019 post. There is no factory remote start. Remote start has been discussed, and you know this, as you posted about this a lot last year. There are aftermarket kits that can be installed, and perhaps a dealership will install for you. Several examples have been posted in the thread.

@Soonerhawk says his dealer will be installing a remote start kit - but he hasn't taken delivery yet.

Towing. This is not a good tow vehicle. The self leveling is a joke, shows up with a 4 pin for a 5000 lbs rated tow capacity. Don’t buy this if you plan on towing anything. Just not good at that. Otherwise, I love everything about the vehicle.

Have you tried towing your trailer? Other people have been happy with its tow capacity. Yes, it needs some modifications to stock equipment (factory tow package) to tow safely, but they aren't a big deal.

No midsize SUV has a very high tow rating - aside from certain trims of the Explorer. If frequent towing is necessary, then I would think a truck or a full size SUV is a better purchase. Maybe that is what you are saying.

For towing purposes, Tahoe or Expedition would be a better choice. But for daily driving, Telluride is the best pick.

I only have 1000 miles on my Telly, but I haven't been able to get completely comfortable in the driver's seat.

Anyone else bothered by the way the center 3rd row seatbelt hangs down from the roof of the cabin when not in use? There is a holder for the seatbelt clip but the anchor clip still hangs down loose and looks bad IMO.

You can fit the metal into that holder too... it can all fit up in to the ceiling.
