This is why americans are have so much debt! I do will not finance! PERIOD! Every dealership is obsessed with making me finance because that is another way for them to make money. I get it, but I am not interested! I will not be bullied into financing! So if a dealership wants my business then they will have to do it my way or no way at all...
Thanks,

Financing is fine especially when you can get a very low rate. You should be able to put your money to work for you gain higher percentage return then the interest you’re paying on your car loan. If somebody wants to give you money cheap it’s best to take it and make a higher percentage elsewhere. This is why americans are have so much debt! I do will not finance! PERIOD! The first crucial mistake: Never divulge to a dealership that you want to PAY CASH.What @tnichole is saying is everyone she’s talked to about the car, is price gauging because she wants to pay in cash upfront. Basically inflating the price beyond what they stated or advertised to gain more money out of her that they won’t get through her not financing. It’s looks great typed out on the paper or on the website but when she gets to the dealerships and says she wants to pay with cash no financing all they see is dollar signs. The object of dealerships is to make a profit, some more than others. They make their money based on the deals they have with banks and people financing those cars using the teaser rates advertised to draw customers in. Rates such as 0.9 and 1.9 etc.... Yeah it looks fabulous and makes you feel like you got a real deal but it isn't true mathematically. Based on how they write the term, payment incentives and trade in value of your trade if there is one. The dealership made a financing profit on you that your not seeing. What the eye sees the mind believes until you start doing that math calculations. So, it’s not that @tnichole is being difficult or that she doesn’t want to help her self. It’s that she doesn’t want to be taken advantage. You can’t blame her for that...
You are trying to get below MSRP on a vehicle that barely exists. The demand is still very high. Difference between a Telluride and a Elantra. These posts have been interesting. I’m in western Canada about to enter the Kia arena to do battle with the salesmen on a 2020 SX awd.
It should be interesting to see what kind of pricing I can get, I can’t believe they can still charge MSRP during this pandemic. if so, I might have to just wait another month or so. I’ll keep you guys posted on how my Telluride purchasing adventure goes.

I find this really interesting as I come from a country where paying cash is seen as a benefit to dealers, and they are generally willing to cut you a better deal as THEY can make the money work for them. The first crucial mistake: Never divulge to a dealership that you want to PAY CASH.
today signed a sales bill. Made an order from the factory. There is no vin in the bill, but the year 2020 is indicated. Car for Canada, trim SX.I have been trying to purchase a Telluride Since August of 2109. I am a cash buyer with no trade in, which seems to be a problem for most dealerships in my area. The other problem that I am running into over and over again is the lifetime warranty or market demand adjustment fee which is 5-7K over MSRP.
So now that it is March 202 and I still sit here without a 2020 telluride, my husband and friends have advised me to wait for the 2021 models to arrive.
Any reliable information would be very much appreciated.
Thanks...

I purchased my Telluride SX with P/T for MSRP here in Colorado, at i25 Kia on March 30th 2020Where are you located? Have you tried Kia of Muncie? They are reputable and ship vehicles. Pricing comes in at MSRP or below with Costco pricing?
I’m sorry to say but you’ll be hard pressed to find a reputable dealerships who isn’t price gauging. They are few and far between unfortunately. Hopefully with states looking into price gauging because of Coronavirus it will incorporate them all even if it doesn’t pertain to the virus. Deliberate inflation for personal gain hurts everyone, just look at Venezuela. Sorry went of topic but I’m sure you understand.
Is that just a powertrain extension?I ordered my Dark Green Moss SX with Prestige and towing pkg in November and my order came in on March 13th. I paid MSRP and my Kia Dealership in Mankato MN includes a 20 yr/200,000 mile warranty on every new vehicle that's good wherever you live instead of the usual 10 yr/100,000 warranty.
Note: Free is only for fools....nothing is FREE.We get it, you don't want a free $1000.![]()
If you take the time to read the comment that was a response was to, it was paying cash vs financing. Your commet is snarky and ,in my case and in probably the original posters case, an untrue statement. I was going to pay cash for my SXP. Intstead I put a large down payment and financed a bit over 5K. I received the $1k rebate which was taken off of the sales price and I payed off the loan two weeks later. No interest paid at all on the loan. So if you were going to pay cash anyway, do what I did and the $1000 was indeed free (unless you have an idea of why it wasn't "free" for me)Note: Free is only for fools....nothing is FREE.

It was originally but I paid an extra $3k to make it bumper to bumper for the whole time and if I sell the car before then, it's prorated and I get money back out of it.Is that just a powertrain extension?
