Yup, just got home with my 2020 EX AWD Telluride and found out no garage door opener.
My last two Sorento EXV6 AWD's both had one. Shame on me for not checking, but shame on KIA for not keeping it in the EX trim!

The 2020 S model does not have a garage door opener. I was amazed when we drove home and discovered it didn't have one. Don't know how much it costs the manufacturer to include a siple pener but every time I press the opener I had to put on the visor I'm reminded of how annoyed this makes me.

Ex has only automatic dimming ; sx has automati dimming + homelink. Ordered Kia Oem mirror for telluride for $225 On eBay right from Kia dealer. So easy to install.: One torx #20 screw to remove, slide mirror off bracket, unplug power and then plug right into new mirror , slide back on, and tighten screw. Easy as can be. If you already have ex autodim then easy self install.

program your buttons and calibrate with paper clip reset button to your appropriate part of the globe and your are done.

I bought the S9F62 AU000 mirror and installed it on my EX. The hardest thing about the install since the EX already has the Dimming mirror was finding a place to do a 360 circle to calibrate the compass. It was seriously as simple as slide off the cover unscrew the old one with a T-20 star bit unplug the old one and put up the new one. So much less expensive than paying to upgrade to the SX just to get the Homelink.

I bought the S9F62 AU000 mirror and installed it on my EX. The hardest thing about the install since the EX already has the Dimming mirror was finding a place to do a 360 circle to calibrate the compass. So much less expensive than paying to upgrade to the SX just to get the Homelink.

totally agree. Had to find a good place to do a circle after I set my compass zone.
Very easy install.

I stand corrected. Seems odd that on the Kia builder site the “EC mirror” option is available on the LX and S. Not mentioned on the EX as an option at all. And listed as added on the SX.

I apologize if someone already posted this but I thought I would share. I have a Hyundai with a homelink mirror and wondered if it would work and the jury is still out because I haven’t taken apart my Hyundai’s mirror and overhead console yet. But I did take down my Telluride S and concluded this is an insanely easy DIY upgrade. The standard mirror comes down with a single torx screw and standard sized bit. Then the plastic housing pops off in two parts. The overhead console only has two philips head screws located inside the sunglasses holder. Then a little pressure toward the windshield pulled down the overhead console. It appears that the upgraded rearview mirror plugs into the back of the overhead console as there were some unused ports on mine. Disassembly took only a few minutes and everything popped back into place easy upon reassembly and all felt secure. (I’m sure I’ll hear about it later if it all comes down while driving down the road.)

When I have more time and can fire out the Hyundai which looks a little tighter I plan to try to move the mirror just to see if another part number is compatible.

Slight update, I just realized that the Hyundai mirrors won't work on Kias because the Hyundai mirrors (to include the Palisade) have BlueLink included which does not work on Kias so I'm guess the connector is likely different. So the Palisade top end rear view mirror has more buttons than the Telluride top end.

So the Telluride has three options:

1. The standard mirror with no technology, standard on the LX and S
2. The Electrochromatic (auto dimming) mirror, standard on the EX
3. The EC with homelink (3 button garage door) and compass mirror standard on the SX, but optional accessory for all other trims

when you say compass are you talking about a digital compass in the mirror where you can see the direction heading from the mirror? Because I don’t have that in my SXP.

Thanks for the clarification, so I think that means there are basically 4 Kia options for rear view mirrors on the Telluride:

1. Factory Equipped LS and S: The standard mirror with no technology
2. Factory Equipped EX: The Electrochromatic (auto dimming) mirror
3. Optional accessory or Factory Equipped with SX: The EC auto-dimming with homelink (3 button garage door) and compass mirror, quick Ebay search shows $225
4. Factory Equipped on SXP: 4 buttons, EC on/off with 3 homelink and more buttons (reportedly no compass)

Our SXP mirrors don’t have anything related to UVO either. Just the homelink and EC mirror on/off buttons. The UVO emergency and assist buttons are all on the roof panel near the sunshade buttons.

That disclaimer is probably for other KIA models that have the UVO buttons on the mirror.

No, the mirror with the compass is the add-on accessory for S and EX trims. It's plug and play in EX, I think it can be added to S though at factory or dealer.

The on / off switch is indeed for auto dimming. When it is on, auto dimming is active. That does not mean the mirror is always dimmed.

My EX did not, so I opened my garage door a different way.

I had a tenant try to open the door while it was locked and it tore the door right off the tracks, IDK why but this reminded me of that, they never they had told me the garage door was broken an need to be fixed but never mentioned again until I did move out inspection, they were sorry when the bill came!
