• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I bought a set that look great (the red). No instructions, but some thin foam tape. Seemed simple enough, but when applied to the cover does not contact the underlying striker base. Anyone applied these and offer advice about the placement/contact points of the tape provided?

Yeah... I had the same issue. Fitment of these and the overlays leave a bit to be desired. Go to depot and get some 3M tape. I had to test out where to layer and where to put actually put the tape to get good adhesion and a flush mount. Took me longer that I would have liked. Either way... it's a nice little touch so worth the trip to depot and a bit of effort.
