If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... So...I just had to know. I took a Palisade out for a test drive today. I didnt like the push button transmission and no folding mirrors. It did have paddle shifters though. The ride was very soft, luxury like. Not like the Telluride. Digital dash is cool, i could take it or leave it. Dont like the brushed chrome everywhere. The grill is too much for me.
Availability is plentiful at the moment. I could get any color I want in a week. No flexibility on pricing. List...
Bottom line..I'm glad I chose the Telluride.

Interesting! So the Palisade is softer riding than the Telluride... What size wheels did it have? Do you know?

Palisade has Sachs shocks in rear without the towing package. With the towing package, it has the same brand load leveling shocks as the Telluride but they are tuned differently. The Sachs shocks feature a design that is similar to a monotube setup and supposedly superior to what's in the back of the Telluride.

How can you get any color in three weeks?

They had all them in transit. Two months for a special order. Much different process than Kia.

When the Kia was first offered for sale it was plentiful as well, then word got around and within weeks it became a feeding frenzy. Such will be the case for the pally.
$10k markup? No problem! SOLD!

When the Telly first came out I test drove a gravity gray EX and they offered $5k off sticker. I didn’t buy it because I hadn’t researched the vehicle enough to be at peace with the purchase. Could of had a DEAL! That same dealership sells them off the truck now.

I’d agree. If someone is on the fence for a Palisade, jump on one. Prices will be jacked up once word gets out. I’m sure that they will get converts from the Santa Fe fast.

When I was at the dealership, people were all of the santa fe. They must be offering a deal on them.

I'm planning on ordering my Telluride next February for an April 2020 delivery, hoping availability and discounts will be back by then.

Similar story here. I'm gonna order some time between December and January, hopefully.

Curious if by next summer, dealers will be discounting the Telly 3-4K.. Crazy to think this hysteria will last much longer than that..

If they can get production up in the fall, I would think you could find good deals by winter time when the market slows down a bit. I think my last 3 cars were purchased/leased with snow on the ground! After the holidays can be a good time because people are broke and less likely to spend money!

^ They've already cut back on Sorento and Optima production in favor of the Telluride.

Not sure if that will last when the new Sorento and Optima head into production.

We test drove a Palisade SEL last night - couldn't get into Limited model - bottom line, it was nice, but no deal breaker over the Telluride. I did find the SEL cabin much noiser than the Telluride EX that I test drove - both wind and road noise. I also found the Telluride's cabin to be more comfortable. Thus, I won't be buying a Palisade as a result. Also, pricing is firm - at sticker - which isn't competitive with Telluride and others. The Palisade will be a nice addition to Hyundai's lineup and should sell well - but they need to add additional noise insulation - among other items. The Telluride jumped out in front and took the wind out of the Palisade's sails. If the noise insulation is better in the Limited trim, I might be convinced to purchase a Palisade, but only with a sizable discount to bring price down around $43k.

I drove both vehicles back to back as the dealerships are next to each other. At highway speeds, I honestly didn't find the cabin noise to be any different but I definitely found the ride to be softer in the Palisade. Because I'm used to vertical surfaces, I found the center console a bit odd in the Palisade but interesting because it, to me, is unique. I do wish the Telluride had the digital dash however and I actually prefer the more squared off look of the Pallisade rear but definitely like the front of the Telluride better. I found that a lot of it really comes down to personal preference as both vehicles fill the same purpose very nicely.
