• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... We have had our 2021 Telly for 6 months. Live in Kansas where this week it has gotten down to below 0 temps and additional 8 to 10 degrees colder with wind chill and no garage. Only starting in the morning and after sitting 12 hours, the engine whines or squeals for about 20 seconds then purrs like a kitten. Done it 5 out of 5 mornings this week. Thinking oil so think that oil pump takes that much time to push the thick oil through the engine. Once it’s started for the day it has no issues. Any thoughts or suggestions?

There is another thread here about this....can't remember what it's called. A few others have had this happen. Whereas I live in a very cold winter climate and haven't had it happen.

A engine block heater could help with the cold or slow oil. Us Canadians (especially in the north) can’t go without them. Most cars for us come with them mandatory installed. Been -40 for a week now where I live with the end finally in sight. Cold weather also brings belts squealing until they warm up too.

A friend who knows cars suggested FR3 Friction Reducer to add to the oil. He thinks it may help thin the oil some and coat the engine to help with the squealing.
