Why do you doubt?
I doubt because we no longer have $7,000 in our bank account because, despite being SIX quarts low on oil 5k miles after an oil change, our Telluride oil pressure light never came on.
If there's less than 0.9 quarts of oil circulating through the engine at any one time while it's running, I'd be surprised beyond belief. Not to mention oil clinging to parts throughout the engine, the oil pan, etc.
