If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2020 Highlander Info

I like and respect Toyota. They make some great cars, and I came very close to buying a Camry and a Highlander in the past...

BUT HOLY COW, TELLURIDE WINS!!!

OK, I was pretty confident Telluride was gonna win. But the redesign of the Highlander is even more meh that I thought. Carry over engine and tranny, marginal length increase, and an interior that looks very similar to the previous gen including some very tired looking gauges. No all-digital here, folks. Even the 12” infotainment screen (only available in the top-of-the-line Platinum trim) doesn’t look like that much of an upgrade. OK, the premium JBL audio system is allegedly 1200W, but I sincerely doubt it will be much (if any) better than the Telluride/Palisade premium audio systems in practice.

On top of that, I think the exterior is uglier than the previous gen, with the pointed rear. The Telluride absolutely blows the Highlander out of the water on exterior design.

When you consider a fully loaded Platinum Highlander will very likely have an MSRP over $50,000, it’s a no brainer... you know the guy who said in his review that you’d have to get your head examined to get a Highlander (or a bunch of other SUVs) over a Telluride? Yeah... I’m with him.

Honda better ramp up their Pilot redesign, and they better bring it... or, as that same reviewer said, Kia will be mopping the floor with everyone else’s a—es.

Get the custodial staff ready, Kiundai. I’m more excited than ever to get a Telluride/Palisade now.

Toyota's interior design team should ALL be fired and let some new people take a stab. That concept for the center display is laughable...

Toyota makes those most boring cars ever. When I was at the auto show , Toyota’s just looked so plain jane and that still does. I’ve never been a fan of Toyota and Honda , I know everyone has them but they are just so average.

This photo makes it look angry. 2020 Toyota Highlander sticks to the formula that has worked

The way the right side of the infotainment part swoops out is nice, but wouldn't it have looked better if they swooped the left side too? But the infotainment section all together sort of looks like the old boxy small tv/dvd combo that we had in my kids room when they were little. Like a little boxy 13" tv sitting there on the dash?

Love that dangling exhaust pipe that looks like its gonna fall off any minute now. Great feature.

And Toyota designers' thinking of something not plain jane is overwrought to the nth degree (see Prius as the poster-child).

Here's an amusing image that someone came up w/ re the new Highlander's dash design.

The design team should of retired when they hit 65. No wow factor! Nothing cool or Innovated with their new / old design. Just like GM and Ford... Boring. I bet they still wear “Members Only” Jackets.

Omg I thought it looked like a shovel! Gold! HAHA!

Reading about this one from toyota(it’s a reliable suv and it’s everywhere) and Toyota lovers are blasting telluride and saying how ugly it is, same on Ascent forums. I just don’t like the looks not even considering it. But definitely one of the most reliable suv.

Lots of reasons Toyota sells an absurd number of these things but none of those reasons are:
1. Because it looks good
2. Because it interesting in any way
3. Because it has all the latest features
4. Because it has an advanced Powertrain
5. Because it’s cool
