Floor vibration?

Anyone notice you can feel a good deal of vibration in the floorboard on both driver and passenger sides? We also drove the Palisade and it was much more pronounced in the Hyundai, but we could still feel it in the Telluride. It was really noticeable in the vehicles we drove and is keeping us from buying the Telluride. We could feel it at lower speeds on slightly bumpy roads.

Could you describe which trim / model / FWD / AWD you drove?

It was a FWD, S trim. Felt it more in the 2 different Palisade that we drove, but definitely noticeable in the Telluride as well.

That's interesting. Most of the posts in the other thread were focusing on AWD models. I didn't notice in my test drives, but maybe other folks have concerns too.

I don't think it's being reported as an issue, just an observation. When I test drove my neighbor's Telluride, I too noticed that I could feel too much of the road bumps through the floor board. I drove it about a mile at most 45 MPH. That's compared to a BMW X5 of course. In the telly I must have gotten used to it now.

NOTE: Most vehicles are shipped from the factory with the tires over inflated. (Reason=no flat spotting, easier to move around yard, accepts better strapping down)

If the tires are inflated to the proper door jamb sticker, the rides improves tremendously.

Thanks for the responses. I should note that what we felt on the test drives was the road bumps through the floorboard. My wife described it as the floorboard felt like thin aluminum. We did check the tire pressure on the Palisade and the tires were not overinflated. We did not check the tire pressure on the Telluride.

I suffered from the exact same problem for almost 30000 KM, and for me, to make the problem worse, I encountered the following:
- If the ground contains gravel and I am making a turn for parking, I could feel all the rumblings right UpTo my foot from the brake and accelerator pedal.
- Making a u turn even at 10 km/h speed produces skidding sound, as if I am drifting
- the tyre edges looked like somebody scratched with fingernails, it looked like pieces were falling off.

The culprit here is only the Pirelli Zero tyres alone. I got rid of it and replaced it with Nexen Roadian tyres and I see world of difference, no more issues mentioned above and the ride have become softer than ever before.

Pirelli service center said that it is because the tyre is old stock from the KIA factory. Whatever the reason is, I believe Pirelli tyres are not made with comfort in mind.
